Apartamentos los Llanos de Aridane

The location and the facilities were fantastic. The view is absolutely as shown, and it´s only 10 mins walk from the bus station, easy to find from anywhere in the town.

There is more than one yapping dog in the vicinity. If, unlike me, you are dog tolerant, this will not be a problem. There are no signs outside the building that you are in the right place. I had to ring up to discover how to get in. This is something I don´t like doing, think it shouldn´t be necessary, and although I can, there will be some guests who can´t cope with Spanish. A similar story when I left. Booking asked me when I was going to leave, I replied, got no answer. Sent the owner a text and tried to ring, but it seemed that number, that I´d used five days earlier, was no longer working. So I just left the keys in the same place. Have heard nothing, so assume that it was OK. I also left the apartment really tidy, although there was some rubbish to take out, and would like some acknowledgement of this. It seems that the owner isn´t really interested in the peace of mind of the guests. This criticism is extended to booking. In this case they said that someone would be there to meet me. They have also claimed, in other hotels etc, that reception is available 24 hours when this clearly isn´t true. This is the main complaint I have with this company.

The insect plague was disgusting! I couldn't keep food in a cupboard in any normal way. Even in the microwave they crawled in through the ventilation grille. Dirty laundry was crawling with bugs. Having to throw away food so often because the bugs crawled into the food. The only option was the fridge. They didn't come there. Really liked the apartment, but I don't prefer to come back. My battle with the insects cost me more money than I wanted.
