The Regal Apartment

Cute details, well equipped kitchen.

We were a group of three and the bedrooms were small doubles and very camped for two people sharing. There was a fold Out bed we could have used but the living room doesn’t provide a good alternative for sleeping as it has windows onto the main road so noisy and light in the morning, plus is the only communal space. Shower was hard to control to stay within the bath.

Noisy on the road. Beds too small and too soft

The decor in the apartment was exceptional, the hosts clearly have an eye for detail. The welcome pack was a nice touch, tea, coffee, milk, croissants and some preserves. The shower was amazing and good qualitytowels provided. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The lounge area has an array of comfortable sofas and the kitchen area has everything you need. The location of the apartment was great, right in the heart of Tunbridge town centre.

This is really petty however the breakfast cereal coco pops and rice crispies seemed a bit out of place.

Las camas, recomiendo cambiar los colchones urgéntemente, estan abombados y son muy incómodos, tuvimos dolor de espalda durante un par de dias. Una mano de pintura también es recomendable. Por lo demás todo muy bien

The location could not be better, it is only steps from the tourist information centre and the heart of town. It is directly beside the “common” which is the central park in town. Surrounded by pubs and restaurants.

I liked everything

Clean, comfy, warm and centrally located.

Would be nice to have some usb outlets.

Ideal location both for walking on the common and for the town centre/station. Lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby. The common made for great woodland walking. They had clearly worked hard and spent a lot to make the apartment a nice place to stay in terms of comfort, appearance etc. There was plenty of heating. The bathroom had a good sized bath with a shower in it. They also left us a few mini boxes of cereals and other bits to get us started. They provided plenty of information etc too and were friendly during communications. Relative to alternative accommodation in the area it was also good value for money.

It could benefit from triple glazing the windows for sound insulation during the day (temperature was fine), however it was very quiet at night and the only noise was traffic during the day so it wasn't too bad. The host really needs to set a password for the wifi that can't be easily guessed/hacked and is actually changed between guests. I did contact the host about this ahead of the stay but they said they couldn't change the wifi settings. Given guests are in theory responsible for the use of the internet this could be a problem for guests.
