This place is so thoughtfully designed. Everything was comfortable and luxurious —no lumpy pillows , bed is soft, curtains are blackout, cups, plates, pot and pan. And the owner is responsive and lovely to communicate with. It’s also ridiculously quiet for being so central. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The room was big, clean, recently renovated, had everything I needed. I entered at night after work and the owner was very helpful, communicative. I value the most that I had comfortable sleep on a comfy bed

People upstairs you could hear walking about, but nobody could do anything about that.

Nothing, the room is just a little bit dark but that is fine.

The room was adequate & clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were rather ‘solid’. The small terrace was pleasant & private but was in need of some type of ‘sunshade’. The location was ok but the proximity of an outside clock ,which chimed every 15 minutes,was disruptive and ‘earplugs’ were essential in order to sleep.

I had an early flight from Birmingham Airport, where ‘alterations’ to the ‘Security System’ were taking place. The departure/flight was therefore very stressful. I knew I would not be allowed into my room at ‘Passive Rooms’ until 2pm. However, although I had 2 hours to wait the taxi just dropped me in the vicinity of my destination.I began to walk the streets of a town unknown to me,dragging my suitcase & feeling very lost, tired, confused & vulnerable. I had been informed by ‘the host’ that I would not be able to leave my case there or enter the building to wait in one of the communal areas within the property. I finally achieved this with persistence on my part. The fridge was broken,which was a major problem and the lid to the kettle wouldn’t open.I was told I could use another fridge 2 floors down in the communal ‘lounge’…..this was extremely inconvenient. The kettle was replaced.I needed a corkscrew but on enquiring I was just informed of a shop where I may purchase one….without any directions as to how to find the place.As the purpose for my trip was to visit a number of English Academies in a town unknown to me I would have liked to have had maps/directions & more information about the town ‘to hand’.
