Otium-Oberhofen

The view from the room was so breathtaking, it felt like stepping into a different world, with sweeping vistas of snow-capped mountains stretching to the horizon.

Nice apartment with a good view

The location could’ve been better. There were 250 steps from the main street to get up to it.

Spider webs and too many berries dropping on the floor with a huge number of lizards and a tough walk down to the bus station. Narrow staircases, difficult to manoeuver with big luggage bag. Uncooperative staff who are not willing to understand that international travellers typically reach late in the evening. Typical turnaround time on messages was very long. Swiss Panorama pass was given Ono when demanded. Typically hotel staff likes to speak with the guests to understand their travel plan to advise the best but the staff here were rude and did not seem keen to address any issues. Electrical switches not working on the bedside.

My reservation is for apartment 2 bedroom but the owner asked to pay 25€ more which i don’t accept that because the apartment has 2 rooms and my reservation was for 2 rooms. He said your reservation is only for one room and you should not stay in another room which is open. I think this is a mistake either from the owner or from booking

the first flat I booked was very old and really really not worth it despite the amazing view so I had to upgrade to the upper flat which seemed to be rennovated very recently and that changed the entire feeling of the stay and I was satisfied with it

What an amazing location! The view already looks gorgeous in the pictures but in real life it is just WOW! We loved it and the pool was just perfect! We stayed for a week in the bottom studio and had the luck that other guests were away often so we always had the pool to ourselves :) We were able to do a self check-in and check-out which was very well organised by the owners (who are such lovely people! We met them when they came for some maintanance and you could see they really cared) The shower was really nice and the kitchen although small, has everything you need!

I want to say that these 2 things didn't make our stay any less great but it is something you should be aware about if it is important to you. There is no airconditioning (it can get hot) and second is that the tv is hidden in the mirror, which makes it very small and i have bad eye sight so i couldn't see it well from the bed but we did not need the tv at all! Just wanted to mention in case someone finds watching tv important because this was a suprise 😅

It was an amazing learning experience. First time when one reviews the site's pictures and see a hot tub and then a sauna to find out that they were charging 60 Euros for 90 minutes in the hot tube and likewise something similar for the sauna! Amazing...I'm surprised they didn't charge for bed sheets and towels :-(. Also, just assume that the unit that you will rent will not have any photographs within their advertised site. Thus, don't expect high ceilings or large windows, one can expect sort of a dingy cave like experience - but that was my fault - should have assumed there would be deception. Like I said, thanks to Otium I learned a lot about how NOT to make a booking and just assume the worst.

It is situated in a residential neighborhood, so be ready for your neighbors pressure washing their balconies, cleaning yards with machinery and just general noise. Also, the units face an open deck where the swimming pool is located, so anyone using the pool is going to be right there in front of you - not much privacy. Although we were lucky and the people below were very nice and only played music and talked loud during the day when we were trying to rest and relax.

Beautiful location! This ended up being our favorite part of the trip.
