Location and size were great. Nice touches like Nespresso machine and streaming stick. Hammock was comfy.

We loved the style and space. It felt homely, spacious and relaxing. The kitchen was pretty well equipped although we didn’t do much cooking. The restaurants in Vila Nova are so good! We loved eating breakfast in the sun on the balcony listening to the birds. The location was great…just minutes to the beach over the dunes and just a short walk in to town and all the restaurants. Carmen gave us some great recommendations 😍

There was an unpleasant drain smell in the bathroom. It was sometimes worse than others making us think that it was not just a problem in Carmen’s apartment. Also, although the apartment has great facilities like a washing machine and dishwasher…no detergent is supplied. A small amount of each would be really helpful as you can only buy big packs in the supermarket which you have to leave if you are flying home. Maybe it would be useful to suggest travellers bring a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tablets in the pre booking information?

The perfectly decorated, spacious and airy apartment has everything you need and everything works (oven, stove, freezer, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, hair dryer, washing machine and dishwasher...) - in short, perfect. Peaceful surroundings with wonderful singing of birds - like in the Garden of Eden. I will definitely come back! I absolutely recommend!

Very clean. Well planned interior decor. Great supply of towels and tea towels. Lovely bedding. Nice sofa. Comfortable bed. Functioning wifi. Hammock on balcony. Great outdoor eating space. Dishwasher/washing machine/etc - kitchen well equipped. Quiet. Very close to beach. Fantastic air con unit. Hot water! Friendly, efficient staff.

I was very happy staying there. I would like to return in 2024. The following are recommendations/suggestions: There was a problem with the toilet which the staff tried to fix during my stay. Really appreciated being told when they would come. It smelled awful and water run through it constantly. The bath tub is awful, absolutely awful (enamel). It really needs replacing. There was nowhere I could attach the showerhead to. There was no plug in the bathtub. The kitchen sink plug did sort of fit but it was then hard to remove it. I had problems with ants which has nothing to do with what I did: I grew up in a hot country. I would have appreciated a better brighter central main light source at night when I was working at the desk. I had to drag various lights near the desk. One toilet roll for seven nights was -poor. Shops are far away. There was a Nescafé coffee machine but I could find nowhere that sold the capsules. Toaster: had to be watched as it did not self-eject the toasted bread. There were containers for tea light candles everywhere (20?) but no candles and no matches. Where would I get them from?!

It was clean and comfy and in a great location. Very spacious.

The shower head needs fixing and it would have been nice for the patio to be cleaned up a bit. It is winter though so maybe it was not expected we would want to sit out side.

The balcony is great and has sun during the morning/afternoon. The air conditioning is great especially if it is cold.

Beautiful apartment, spatious and well equiped. I loved the natural light and the big terrace with hamak.

Just a bit cold in February despite the heating. Shame we can't use the chimney. I would recommend much warmer blankets for the bed.

It is a very nice and cozy apartment with a nice view over the rooftops to the river. We had to leave earlier than planned as there was some construction work on the building. Our host Carmen was great and relocated us to another very nice location not far away (rooftop terrace with a sundown view :-) ).
