We had a lovely stay at Veranda sul Porticciolo in Castellammare del Golfo. Giuliano greeted us on arrival and was incredibly welcoming and informative, giving us all the details we needed for our stay. Parking was easy and free, which made things very convenient. We were unfortunately delayed by around two hours at passport control due to biometric checks, so it’s worth factoring this in when planning transfers or connections. We stopped at a supermarket on arrival, which I would definitely recommend. There are small shops in town, but they can be quite expensive ,we were charged €2.50 for a bottle of water. The apartment itself was beautiful, very clean, and the highlight was definitely the view from the balcony, absolutely stunning. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from within easy walking distance. You don’t need a car if you’re just staying in town, although it would be useful for exploring the surrounding area. We didn’t have long, so we spent our time wandering around the town and visiting the nearby beaches, which was perfect. Overall, a fantastic stay and a great base in Castellammare del Golfo.
