Flies were in the init when we arrived. If cleaners need til 1 or 2 pm for checkin, they should yse some of the time to get rid of flies they let in.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. They were able to accommodate us checking in early. It was centrally located and very nice. There was food and drinks available in the fridge and fresh bread in the apartment.

The coffee maker and microwave didn't work. There was nowhere to eat in town because the bar wasn't open, despite signs saying it would be. The hostels were not legally allowed to serve us food even though the bar was closed (according to the hostel staff). We had to take a cab back to Estella for dinner because there was no other option at all in the town (no other restaurant, store, or bar of any kind). This was not the property's fault, but it is a major issue staying in Villamayor for pilgrims on the Camino...

Just an FYI, there are several flights of stairs… That can be hard after a long day walking.

The food was great, there were a lot of choices.

Markiola is in a tiny village that may or may not have services open while you are there. The apartment comes very well stocked with food and drink so you can prepare a meal for yourself. Nice spot for a good night of rest on the Camino.

It was right on the Camino de Santiago. We were there on 1 May 2025 and of course as a national holiday nothing was open in this small town. But our host had stocked the pantry and fridge and we had a great pasta dinner with the local wine provided

Very conveniently located right on our Camino- clean and comfortable and very well stocked including food and drinks.

It was a great place to stay. The fridge was well stocked as well which helped a lot.
