Ferienhaus Inge

After two months in Croatia, we arrived in Austria for our six week leg, as this was our second two week stay. A difference between these two countries? Hospitality, generosity and warmth! Austria is cleaner and better organized, but in Croatia you get warmth and you feel welcome. The apartment was clean. We liked the mosquito nets. The balcony was pretty good, but shared with other people. First week was great, the neighbors were tactful and quiet. The second week made us realize that sharing a balcony is not our cup of tea. We had to leave each time when sometimes noisy neighbors decided to stay there, and they did this a lot. If you do not seek a quiet place, aren't interested in enjoying your balcony and are noisy and inconciderate yourself, that's the place for you. The shower was good. The kitchen had many useful gadgets. The towels of poor quality were replaced frequntly. Large hallway was useful for storage of our staff. We have lots of it to travel four months at a time.

Shared balcony. Sloped or slanted ceilings reduced the living space by much. We had to watch our heads constantly not to bump them. For me, half the kitchen was of limits. The bed was not so good for me. At the end it had that limiting wooden board, and I like to keep my feet outside, so I slept on a nearby narrow couch. No meaningfull window in the kitchen although a cathedral window is a nice addition, but I like to have a view. By the way, has anybody tried to stay in a hotel and they would ask you to pay for the final or any cleaning, although they clean your room everyday? All this is included. So any talk of a final cleaning is a ripoff. After all you pay already for your stay. We paid for the final cleaning using booking.com, but the owner states in her booklet with rules that she does charge for it if you leave the apartment clean. I can't imagine why people would not leave the place clean. Unfortunately, many are inconsiderate and filthy. While we contemplated a return to this place, we decided not to.

Inge is very friendly and helpful. The appartment is large and comfortable. Wondeful mountain view from the entrance terrace, where we used to have our meals. Convenient location for hiking trips in the summer.
