Dodero Apt Cinque Terre - Two bathrooms

Las camas eran muy cómodas y buena ubicación.

El aire acondicionado, que no enfriaba mucho y uno de los baños es demasiado pequeño.

Good communication from host Barbara via WhatsApp and she made sure someone was at the property to meet us with keys, guided us through how to use the lift (elevator), and all the nuances around this 5th floor apartment. Apartment is rather small & a bit dated, but ample & comfortable for a family of 5. One of the two bedrooms have a sofa bed (pull-out bed). Every bedroom has a portable AC unit. The two bathrooms are very small but we found them to be adequate. The dining room is also small, may be a bit cramped had all 5 of us ate together, but plenty for maybe 3 people, because of the location of the dining table. The kitchen is narrow but functional, though there isn't much counter space. It is enough to prepare basic meals on the gas stoves, coffee (using Mokapot), etc. The half-size refrigerator & washing machines are functional, you can dry your clothes on the line outside the window. Location is superb, within walking distance of most things. The Public Garden is a 2 minute walk away. The closest supermarket is about 8 minute walk towards the pedestrian-only zone (Doro Supermercati on Viale Galileo Galilei). There are restaurants/gelatos/bars within 5 minute walk (across the Public Garden). The farmers market is within 8 minutes away. And most importantly, La Spezia Centrale (the train station) is about 15-20 minute walk passing through the pedestrian-only zone as well as quiet streets along the way (just turn on your Google Maps & navigate). This is your main train station to get to Cinque Terre as well as to connect to other Italian cities/towns. Parking is tough, street parking directly outside & surround the apartment are for residents only (the apartment does not provide parking permits/passes). There are street paid parking nearby (but a little expensive).

We wish there were a little bit more storage space in the bathrooms but we understand the size is challenging (so the host would need to be creative to make more space in there). The kitchen+dining room is small-ish but still cozy - just not in the summer when the room can get very warm, even with a fan (as there is no AC in this room). We also wish there is more room on the kitchen counter to prepare meals, as we have had to move things around to create space. There is also a general warning not to use too many electrical appliances all at once, but this isn't the host's fault, as the apartment building itself is dated and there are electrical power restrictions. We thankfully did not experience any blown fuse, except for a brief 10-15 minute building-wide power outage one afternoon.

It was central to everything. Barbra and Anna were really helpful and gave us great tips. You cannot beat the personal touch we so appreciated it.
