Despite all the difficulties I can say that Roxana, the owner, is a really nice person. She apologized for the situation and agreed immediately to make a refund.

When I got to the apartment after almost a day of travel, I saw that neither of the beds weren't ready, and the mattress was covered in hair and dust. Later we discovered other spots in the apartment that were really dirty. Also, there was a weird smell in the apartment. On the very same evening we decided to leave next morning and requested a refund. The whole situation was very problematic since there were almost no accommodation options left in the area, so we had to move to a different region and book more pricey accommodation that went beyond our budget. Other drawbacks are: - beds were not comfortable at all - the neighbourhood doesn't feel very safe

The apartment is 2 minutes walk from Saronno train station and the area is safe. 30 to 40 minutes from Malpensa airport and 20 to 30 minutes to Milan Centrale,Milan Cadorna and Lake Como direct from Saronno train station. The apartment is very clean, well maintained and with airconditioning which is very usefull during summer time. Roxanne is a great host, she uses goggle translate to communicate with us because she only speaks Italian which is not an issue for us. So make sure you have the google translator app. We arrived very late around half past midnight, Roxanne patiently waited us, she bought us 2 big bottle of water and a beer kept in the fridge ready for us to drink after travelling in a very hot summer night. 3 grocery shops /convenient shops and a pub at the bottom of the building.Carrefour supermarket just 5 minutes walk.

Great large secure apartment, with everything you need. Location is perfect to catch train to Milan. Host was great and helpful

Everything was just perfect! Huge apartment with all amenities, recently renovated! Very friendly owner, always available to help! Very recommended! 2 mins walk from Saronno train station!

apartment is quite near train station , host is so nice and quick respond. There are many good restaurants in this area !

Location, cleaning and comfort

1) The apartment won't accommodate more than 4 person. There is a queen size bed, 2 single make-shift beds and a couch. If it needs to accommodate 6 people, then the couch bed should be changed in to a good quality one. Current coach is not at all comfortable to sleep as a bed. There is a separation line that runs horizontally in the middle of the couch that creates uncomfortable sleeping experience. 2) Wifi disconnects very often. A good quality internet connection would be a great asset in today's time. 3) The electricity cuts off when 3 electrical appliances run at the same time. I don't know if this is a known issue for all older apartment. Though we were warned before-hand by the owner about this issue, it occurred when we used dishwasher, kettle and cook-top. 4) The owner explained various aspects of the apartment using google translate. A booklet in 3-4 common languages containing information about different aspects of the stay would be very useful, as the owner does not speak English. For eg: booklet could contain information about waste recycling, electric circuit breaker location.
