Una Perla a Cortina

The apartment was clean and like described (just be aware there are 2 different apartments available) Location is great. The place is very calm, the view is awesome and not far from Cortina, Tre cime and Sorapis trail head We got very clear instructions to get to the apartment. The host is kind and fast to answer (we even got a small welcome pack)

The appartement was a bit cold on the first day The bed was a bit noisy and not the most confortable I find it a bit expensive (even with Genius reduction)

  On-Season this is probably the Cozy-bustling-awesomely located-well equipped establishment described in length by previous visitors. We can also testify that the host is indeed cooperative and helpful.  

We visited this place off-season by the end of September and would advise visitors to carefully consider before booking during this time of year Una Perla a Cortina. Check-in and all communication with the host were done remotely. This could have been OK in principle however a few issues here had us thinking this remote approach was inadequate here: First and foremost, you might find yourself, as we did, the sole visitors in this quite-secluded building. We felt quite uncomfortable while working our way and working the keys towards the apartment through a sizeable empty building using the host’s video explanations. We were also not at ease sleeping alone in such circumstances and one of our daughters, 10 years old, described the whole experience as “frightening”. Then, while using the oven and washing machine together – the power plug shut down and we found ourselves, again, searching the dark building for the power plugs using the hosts remote explanations. Finally, we feel this apartment should not be checked in remotely since some of its features are a little more complicated than usual (We needed explanations for plugging in and operating the Wi-Fi, for operating the water-heaters and for starting off the refrigerator which we found disconnected). Moreover, had we not been checked-in remotely the host could have avoided an embarrassing situation in which the trash of the previous visitor was mistakenly left in the kitchen (to be clear, otherwise the place was spot clean). If you find this general location specifically important, you might alternatively consider during off-season periods the B&B hotel 100 meters down the road which seemed far busier.

The staff were very friendly: they were available to help when we needed (we had a wifi problem that they helped us solve). The apartment was very well equipped, very clean and very comfortable (we are a family of 4). The extra toilettes at the master bedroom was great :)

There is a listing for a dryer in the kitchen. There isn't one. Line-drying is available in the balcony. If we're nit-picking, there are no trash cans in the toilettes.
