Some noise from bar downstairs on Saturday night but it ended at midnight.

The apartment was perfect!

Perfect for 2+2 family - with separate bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, big bathroom, and balcony with 2 chairs and beautiful view over small square. Small supermarket and few morning bakeries nearby. We recommend to go for a morning walk to Ortigia market (fish, fruit, vegetables). Public Talete parking is the closest, ca. 5' walk, in January there was always a place to park there.

Everything! The furnishings are modern, it’s bright, exceptionally clean and the space is wonderful and roomy with a fantastic main balcony. Location is spot on with everything easily walkable in a few minutes and the upmarket deli/convenience store opposite a real bonus. Helen of Ortigia Suites was great to deal with

All perfect - nothing to dislike

As a general rule we do not book places that have cleaning fees and that use door codes instead of welcoming humans. But we did this time. The apartment 2 bedroom set up with two matrimonial beds was what we needed and this was one of the few places that offered this option in the center of Ortigia. After the e mail explaining how to access the property we made phone contact asking about the possibility of an early ck in. Since the place had no guests that day, we were kindly allowed to ck in early. The person answering the phone was very nice, so it was a good start. The instructions were perfectly clear, no trouble at all. Apartment floor plan good, but it looked a bit worn. The wood floor is a bit scuffed and in need of a shine, but this did not affect the quality of our stay. Just describing the place. One thing to be aware. From the first bedroom to reach the bath and living area there us a little step up. Need to be careful during the night when using the facilities. Beds very comfy, air conditioning works great. Good size bathroom and shower( rarity in Italy). Various sitting options. We sat at the table most of the time because had a good view to the street below. Did not cook much, but the time we did, we had everything we needed. The location is just perfect! Across street from the Ortigia shuttle that comes by every 20 minutes. A good size grocery store right in front, restaurants and cafés steps away. You are in the middle of the island, so you can reach every place by few minutes walking. The assigned host was prompt in responding to our queries and did check on a us a few times via WhatsApp. So summing up, we were pleased with the selection of this place.

They have the option to have a person meeting you for an extra 20 Eu. It just does not feel very welcoming. Is like trying to get every cent out of you. From charging cleaning fees to pay someone to welcome you. Extra fees is one of the reasons we no longer use Airbnb.

The location, the modern facilities, and the character-filled 18th century building the apartment was in. Just loved the balcony overlooking the piazza and the bar/cafe directly below for coffee.

The apartment was perfect….in fact the best accommodation we had in Sicily. Incredible location with fantastic balcony overlooking a beautiful small piazza. The apartment was stylishly decorated with everything you need. Helen was a fantastic host and Ortigia is amazing…..we would return in a heartbeat.
