The flat is located in 30m walking distance of nearly everything in Santa Cruz. The streets are beautiful and nice to walk. The balcony is long but narrow with views down the street to the far away ocean and the mountains. It was generally clean, just some corners of the flat floor were very dusty. All rooms are connected to a long hallway going through the whole length of the flat, with most of them having no windows to the outside, but only to the hallway. When we had an issue with the shower, a maintenance worker fixed it 20m later. Internet and wifi are perfect and the kitchen has enough space for 2 people to eat there. There were enough physical keys for all guests for an automatic lock system with codes, chips or links in an email. As soon as we figured out how it works and what to do, it worked pretty much flawlessly.

No clear instructions beforehand on how the entry would work, or it worked differently than originally described. After we performed the additional check in on a third-party site, the hosts didn't know we performed it and only in another email after the check in, the final instructions were listed. We saw other guests being confused with the system as well and had to help them. They had technical issues with the check in site and couldn't access the codes at all in the beginning. Also, just having the website open with which we could open the door via link, open the door by random when I was opening the browser app on my phone. Not very secure.

The location was excellent. It is close to the city center and everything you might need is nearby.
