Outstanding views and a very cozy house. The host was superfriendly. Big thanks to Luna: due to the computer failure in the airports we missed Andrea Bocelli concert but she was trying to cheer us up. Our apartment was superclean and smelled amazing. We were feeling like home.

Get away from the crowds and immerse yourself in a real Tuscan experience in walking distance from the local town. The traditional, well equipped apartment is large and very comfortable.The views across the hills to Volterra are amazing. The coast is an easy 30 min drive. Pisa airport just over an hour away. Above all your host and all the family made us really welcome.

Everything was great

After a couple of days of travel and busy roads and cities, Il Castanigni brought us in a oasis of peaceful beauty. In the middle of toscan hills, under the stars of a clear sky, with nice facilities in a stonehouse, a wonderful medieval fortress less than 2 km away (visiting it at night was awsome!), 50 minutes away from some nice beaches, a kind and non-intrusive host - it was more than we expected from this place. The place was very clean and neat and the facilities were great considering the price.

There were four of us, and the form of the apartment didn't allow for much privacy, but it was ok.

The hosts are very kind and helpful. The accomodation is well-equipped. The location and the view are perfect.

Tradițional Tuscan house at the foot of the mountain in a magnificent location overlooking Volterra and most of Tuscany. Traditional layout and furniture, natural terrace with incredible views, including fireflies in the nights of June. The hosts are most welcoming and lovable traditional Tuscan family with whom the guests can enjoy a warm talk and atmosphere. Antonella and Marco treat you as one of the family. The nearby village is small but warm and welcoming and typical for Tuscan rural life. Fairytales nights and mornings here are the perfect ingredients for a visit in Tuscany.

Great location close to Voltera and very nice and helpful owners. We had beautiful view and nice restaurants nearby the property.

Very kind, familiar hosts, beautiful view, tranquility. Montecatini is a village with an original atmosphere within walking distance, with very few tourists.
