"Charming stay in a charming village"

10.0

The character of the apartment was lovely, as was the spaciousness of the bedrooms and seating areas inside and out. There is a neat kitchen area with a coffee machine, grill and hob. And outside a washing machine and drying area too.

Nothing to declare

"Location Location Location"

8.0

A really Great location for a visit to the fascinating cities of Merida , Caceres, Trujillo , Guadalupe . Which is why we chose it . The village is pretty much equidistant from them . And, if you are British there is the added fun of visiting a place where the British are recorded as doing something good albeit in 1811 ( see the photos ) Good cycle rides from the Village eastwards . Likewise there are loads of excellent walks nearby ( bring a copy of the Cicerone Walking in Extramadura Guide ) Bedroom is comfortable and lots of thought has gone into shelves and hanging space etc. Likewise the kitchen is well equipped- but bring your own kettle ( same throughout Central Spain ) if you want a cup of tea. We could put the bikes inside rather then leave them on the car in the road . Parking was easy and close . For all these reasons I would recommend the accommodation.

The following comments are in the way of useful ‘advice’ rather than complaints . Stock up if you are going to self cater as the nearest Supermarket is small and a good 15 minutes drive. In late September the village restaurants were all closed . The closest open Restaurant was in Almoharin ( it was good though ) Bread from the bread shop in the village was disappointing but okay. Check the hot water from the shower works and that the wi fi is working okay . it would be easier if , unlike us , you spoke a bit of Spanish though Google Translate helps. We had problems with both the shower and wifi and the owner was slow ( through it was a weekend ) to get back to / keep us informed on progress . I am sure if we could speak Spanish it would have been better as she was friendly and smiley.
