Apartmán Amelka Vysoké Tatry

Stylish apartment in a very good location. Fully equipped kitchen. Balcony with a very nice view to the mountains. Spacious, nice bathroom with modern shower. Comfortable beds. There are several shops and cafes near the apartment.

Communication with the owner was difficult and we felt cheated regarding the parking, which turned out to be 10 EUR a day and not free as indicated by the owner. After clicking on the "booking" button we received an order from the landlady to "pay 50% immediately." So, I dropped all my tasks and transferred the first installment immediately. In my experience, other property owners would communicate in a more polite way by saying "I am able to hold the reservation if I receive payment from you within 48 hours". Never mind! But then, after I paid right away, the owner disappeared on me for over two weeks and I had to keep sending her reminders, asking if she received the first and second installments. One day before our journey she sent the instructions on how to get to the apartment. It`s not straightforward, just like someone wrote before, but if you want to look it up on the map, the apartment is in the same building as Dr Max Pharmacy. In the instructions it said that parking was free, so it took us some time to figure out that it was not. What`s more, the parking meter does not allow you to pay in advance for several days, you have to run down each day early in the morning to pay for the day, which was a pain for us. While most furniture and equipment was good quality in the apartment, the pillows were of poor quality and worn out in my opinion.

The hairdryer did not work!

Very cozy and nicely decorated apartment. Views from the window/balcony are just breathtaking. Apartment is very well equipped - everything you need is there. Shops, restaurants, pharmacy are on your doorstep. Hiking trails are very close as well. I hope we will come back here again. I will recommend this place for all my friends. Thank you!

It should be more information provided about parking. We parked in front of the main entrance but didn't understand/know that we have to pay for the parking (the parking meter is further down the street), so we got a fine from police (luckily they didn't manage to block the wheel of our car).
