Angson Apartment

Location was good.

Two days before check-in, the hotel contacted me via WhatsApp instead of using the Booking.com messaging system. They tried to modify my reservation and attempted to convince me to cancel my Booking.com booking and rebook directly with them at a different price. The hotel admitted overbooking and tried to pressure me into accepting another room
Despite my confirmed booking for two separate rooms, the hotel informed me that the previous guest “could not check out” and that only one room would be available. They repeatedly tried to persuade me to accept a different type of room and pricing outside the Booking.com platform.
I insisted that my original booking be honored and that all communication go through Booking.com, but they continued to message on WhatsApp. 
When we arrived late at night, the hotel informed us again that only one room was available. We were told we should be “happy” that they were giving us a room at all and that they could have refused our stay completely. When checking out they were charging payment for 5 night and not 4 days according to the booking.com confirmation. When pointing this out rudely just asked me “if I could not count”, until they realized it was their mistake.

I liked the staff behaviour. They were very good and steadfast. I would give them 10 out of 10. The place was clean as well. They also adjusted my booking at a short notice. I appreciate that.

The property seems to be old and not very well maintained. In the pics it looked really well, but it was not upto expectation in person.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and welcoming and attentive. Everything felt well maintained and tidy throughout my stay. As a group of females traveling to Chennai for the first time, I felt completely safe and at ease here. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. We stayed in a studio apartment with a kitchen which was equipped with all necessary appliances.

No restaurant, strange odour, hard beds and AC wasn’t working in a room, had to change rooms, Geyser not hot enough
