You need to turn off the living room or kitchen heater to let the small sleep room heater be functional.

The location was perfect for this part of our trip around Iceland - we were going on a guided excursion that would start and finish in Hella, and it was so easy to just walk to the pick-up/ drop-off point at the crossroads. The cottage was bigger than I had anticipated and so comfortable - really ideal for either a small family, group of friends or two couples as in our case. It was especially nice to have choices of different areas to sit and relax - everyone felt like they could have space and comfort. The village of Hella is scenic - we enjoyed walking around by the riverside, seeing some art and meeting some Icelandic horses too. It's also very convenient for the nearby village of Hvolsvöllur, where there are some additional attractions, places to eat or shop. Our host was so helpful in answering all of our questions and giving us some great tips. We were really happy with the whole experience!

This is very minor - there are simple instructions for the hot tub in both English and German, but apparently not foolproof enough for me as a person who is not familiar with Iceland's thermal plumbing! I made the water far too hot, and then when we tried to let it cool down over many hours, by the time we checked it again it was too cold. So it might be helpful to just make the instructions even more specific!

We feel like staying at home. The kitchen is well equipped, has everything we want. The house is locating closed to the river. Would recommend this one. We can park our van right in front of the house.

Google map leaded us to the wrong house which looked alike. Luckily my daughter reminded me that it must not be this house since there was already somebody in the house.

IT WAS VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE HOUSE WITH A GRADE VIEW BY THE RIVER.

Location, ample parking, quiet and close to golden circle attraction and the famous waterfall , black beach, Viks are within an hour drive. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, we feel very much like home.

The kitchen utensils are a bit worn out.

Such a cosy and beautiful house. It was all nice and warm when we arrived. The bedding was super fresh. The location was beautiful, looking into a river and the village of Hella is so lovely, lots of twinkling lights. The house was also bigger than expected with very good bathroom and kitchen facilities. Amazing value for money, would definitely return.
