Villa Anna Sorgeto

Our hosts, Anna & Leo we’re exceptional and thoughtful. We would give them more than a 10 if we could, because of their hospitality and also their staff, who all made us feel welcome. I also have to mention their restaurant as we enjoyed their food immensely and it was very reasonably priced. Near their restaurant is where the buses stop. Personally, I found being able to sit outside the accommodation and look and hear nature, calming and peaceful in the heat and sun. Thank you for a memorable visit. On a side note, I would bear in mind getting to and from the accommodation you may need some form of transportation to get up and down the steep hill.

Met with the owners upon arrival. No issue rescheduling a taxi through them after a plane was late either. During the whole stay we saw the owners multiple times and they also have a lovely restaurant not too far away from there. Sorgetto - the nearest beach was also way emptier than it used to be in years before covid it seems.

I do not have anything to say for comfort or cleanliness, that was perfect. The only thing that might be worth mentioning is that if you plan to go by bus, you might need to go up a hill quite a lot.

It was nice to be met by the owner and driven to the property

No mention in the listing of the steep 15 minute uphill walk to the village for shopping and cafes. We are 67 and were walking, it made a big impact. I has asked how far the property was from the nearest bus stop and was told 3 minutes, yes in a car this is true, but walking for two older people it was 15 minutes at least and very steep.

Anna and her family are great people who were very accommodating. She was very helpful with information about the local area and even went out of her way to help me rent a car from a local company quickly and for far less than it would have cost elsewhere. Free parking is nice if you're bringing a car. The property is a very short walk from the Baia de Sorgeto and some local resturants. There is a great winery nearby as well. I would highly recommend this location.

There is a somewhat steep climb leaving the property so, if you're driving, you should have a moderately powerful car. It might be somewhat difficult for some smaller, manual transmission cars to make the climb. Not a big problem but worth pointing out. Also, if you are walking to the main road and the bus stop, it's about a 12-minute walk. Again, not a big problem, but I think it bears noting.
