Pergola Suite

The apartment looked great and cozy in person. The location is amazing, very close to the Tower and Cathedral; when entering the building's door, I was feeling very impressed to be able to stay at such a prestigious place. The internet connection was great as advertised, I was able to work remotely and connect to video calls perfectly fine. The owner of the apartment was impressively helpful and responsive: when we noticed there was some problem starting to happen with the room&water heating system, he first assisted us remotely with trying to reset it, and then out of his own initiative offered us a different, apartment in the old town for free - a bigger one, also super nice, and also with a flawless Internet connection. We ended up inviting a couple of our friends to join us on that stay, and the owner made it very easy to extend the payment appropriately for them. Thoroughly recommended!

The suite is in the best location I ever had before, it is only 5 minutes to reach the leaning tower and most sightseeing, The supermarkets, and shops are just nearby the suite, and a lot of restaurants are around, it is a short distance to walk for eating and shopping. The bedroom is spacious and clean. The bathroom and kitchen are in small size but we can have everything we need to use. The bed is comfortable. The host is very fast to help us to fix the heating operation after we reported him the heating was not working.

The kitchen room is in small size, we found it is not comfortable for sitting at the dinner table, no space.

Perfect location close to restaurants,the leaning tower and there is a supermarket right besides the entrance. It was also quite silent.

All windows look on a backyard and other houses and there is no normal curtain just a paper cover so there is less light inside.

Clean and spacious, amazing central location. Stayed myself (first time solo female traveller) felt safe, good value for money. Would go back in a heartbeat.

If I have to find something, more coat hangers in the wardrobe?

The location is ideal for exploring the main monuments - 2 minutes walk from the Tower, with two small supermarkets and numerous restaurants even closer. Nevertheless, being set well back from the street with thick walls, it was quiet at night and fairly quiet during the day. The cleaner did a good job and the bed was comfortable. The station is about 20 minutes' walk away.

The facilities are in need of some improvement. On the plus side, all the equipment that we used worked. (We used everything except the central heating system, coffee machine and bidet). However, the cooking facilities just comprise a microwave and two electrical rings, with no oven. It would have been good to heat a pizza in the oven; the local supermarkets' stock of microwave food was very limited. Having a single bed in the kitchen does not work; it means there is nowhere comfortable to sit. The verandah also leaves a lot to be desired. Some things the hosts can do nothing about, for example the lack of a view and being overhung by a neighbour's washing, but the overall look is shabby, with the walls and floor in need of re-coating. In one corner there is a broken sink which serves as the overflow for the kitchen boiler. Because the sink has a hole in it, the only wash-bowl in the apartment is placed there to catch the drips, and unless this is emptied every 48 hours a stream of water overflows across the verandah before running away into a drain by the opposite wall.

Absolutely perfect and brilliant location. Would definitely stay again and the owner was so helpful and friendly. Will stay again.
