Location was perfect. Our main reason for the visit was the anfiteatro. It did not disappoint! Unfortunately, due to an injury, we did not get around as much as we had planned, there is so much more in the area. Luckily, our appartment was spacious, well equipped and comfortable enough so that it was nice to just relax and spend the evening in with a glass of fizzante! We could have survived on the treats that were left for us. The road below is very busy with traffic, (luckily they are not as keen on their car horns as Naples) particularly 'rush hour' times but the windows and doors provide excellent sound proofing. They have siestas in Capua, so basically everything shuts down. English is not widely spoken, so be prepared to give the phrase book a good airing. We found the locals very friendly and helpful. We never physically met our host Giosuè but he was available on WhatsApp. His brother Gianluca, picked us up at the Airport (cheaper than advertised taxis) and was patient and very helpful.

The only thing lacking was on site information. Perhaps a local map, details of supermarkets and info on where the buses actually stop. We can google timetables but it proved difficult to find out where they stop. We would normally just stroll around (usually get lost ) and discover these things but we were limited this time due to injury.

First of all, we really enjoyed our stay at Gli apartments and this is, possibly, the most important thing. There are 3 things that we value most - cleanliness, comfortable beds and no noise at night. And we get everything in here. Now let's cover the pros: 1. the apartment was clean, we did not notice any issues at all 2. the overall size of the apartment: the height of the rooms is about 4-4.5 meters and this really gives a different perspective; besides, the master bedroom is quite big, the second room (both bedroom and a workplace) is ok as well, the kitchen is fine for 4 people 3. the location is great - very close to the small park and main street in the town 4. the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable - we really enjoyed it 5. we liked the facilities as well - washing machine, dishwasher, drying machine - everything is here and works perfectly fine; we cooked a lot and the kitchen is nicely equipped with almost everything we needed 6. the atmosphere - the apartment is in the historic building 7. nice hosts :) A few points on the configuration of the apartment. The master bedroom does not have any windows at all - and this is great for the night sleep. And to get to the bathroom, you need to go through the second bedroom with a workplace.

There are no major issues in the apartments for us, honestly. There are a few points to consider, though, for foreigners: 1. the sharpness of the knives is far from ideal; in general, it could make sense to add 1-2 larger knives to improve the way you cook 2. add more dishes and cups - there is a full-size dishwasher (60 cm) in the apartment and in our case it was launched like 1/4 full; it could possibly help to save the costs on electricity and water as well 3. there is no kettle at all, it would be nice to have one

The hosts are great!!! They do all what they can to make your stay pleasant. There is a bunch of snacks waiting for you. All is clean. There is a very clear explanation how to check in.

The parking is a little tricky. There is enough white street parking around. Also there is a private parking which costs 5 euro per day. The parking is 150 meters from the building and the remote control for the gate is inside the apartment. So you have to park on street first and then to transfer the car after you check in.

shower a little small, you need to be careful with hot water because it is quite boiling.

Parking location was wrongly indicated on the instructions and it took almost an hour to locate and sort out. Very disappointing. The apartment layout is such that the corridor is externally exposed with all the windows/natural light whereas the two rooms (bedroom and studio) do not have windows On the TV the mediaset channels have no sound (no idea why and could not sort it out technically). Apartment not very environmentally friendly or safe: water is heated with a boiler in the bathroom; and in the kitchen there is a gas canister under the sink for the cooker (dangerous and in disuse nowadays indoors)
