The property is absolutely stunning, the views are breathtaking. It’s a bit hard to reach as it’s in a secluded location but it’s well worth it. It’s super quiet, the colour of the sea is absolutely to die for, and you can enjoy a sunset every night from your terrace. The rooms were spotless, cleaned to the highest standards.

The furniture in the room is quite dated and not of the greatest quality. The beds are not very comfortable and the mattresses could be a lot better but overall you have everything that you might need in the room/kitchen. Both accesses to the sea have been severely damaged by the sea, resulting in one of the step access being closed and the other one that requires a lot of effort to climb in and out, they might be hard for kids or people with mobility difficulties. Wi-fi is only useable in the reception area.

The location is amazing. The staff is very kind and professional. The access to the sea is exclusive. The view of the sea from the terrace is absolutely fantastic. You can see Portoferraio and Capraia's island. Don't miss the sunsets: awesome!

We do not reccomend this place in case you don't like dogs very much or you are afraid of them. Owners sometimes leave them almost free. Mosquito nets are not on all the windows. The access to the sea is uncomfortable and not for everyone.

Cota Quinta is one of the best findings on booking.com ever! The location is remote but it is one of only few places on the island that are so close to the water. Quiet, wild and a true gem! Built decades ago from movie directors from Rome, it maintains that simple and old fashioned touch. The coast and the access to water is truly spectacular, almost like in a movie. You can get a sun bed and stay in the garden or go close to the water. There is a BBQ, and you have the best view at sunset.

Nothing we didn't enjoy but a few things to watch out for: the road is narrow and it fits only a car, so be careful while driving especially big cars or vans. The WiFi is only at reception, no schuko sockets and the mattresses were very thin with springs. Everything else on the island is at least 30 min via car. Buy groceries before driving to the property and go equipped with bottles of water.

Good place with amazing view

There is the bare minimum in confort (no salt, no sugar, etc), it’s very spartiate. You hear 100% of what’s happening at the neighbors place

Very nice location, built directly into the rock, great sea view. Very remote and quiet area. Very friendly host (Gigi), who explained the whole island to us (restaurants, beaches, shopping, wineries, etc.) - great guy! Our apartment was beautiful and well equipped. Nice terrace with table, umbrella, chairs, and free sunset! The nearest public beach is 10 minutes walk away (dogs are allowed).

The only shop nearby was only open one hour a day in mid-September 2022. Access to the "private beach" is very challenging!! (Rock climbing with rope help - a better possibility would be to build a stainless steel staircase into the sea, maybe a future project?!...). A "stupid" small step at the entrance to our apartment that is easy to miss - please mark it, thank you!

The location at the end of the road along a precipitous cliff face and exceptionally narrow with both suv wing mirrors touching the side drive for over 300 metres at gradients of c.45degrees was worthy of the foothills of the Andes Although with very focussed camera-aided guidance inside our hire car, this neither helped the initial arrival emotions, or the freedom to ‘jump in the car and explore’ what is undoubtedly a fabulous island with loads to experience, both in relation to wonderful beaches (400 metres but a hike) and Napoleonic history less than 10 km away - We had no idea from the host’s description that this would be the case -and would advise guests to hire small cars and also work on their General fitness 👟😉to really appreciate what this exceptional location re offers
