Antica Residenza Adua

The apartment is large, pleasantly decorated and adequately set up. The location is superb. The kitchen set up is also very good. The ambience in the apartment feels very Italian and we loved just sitting in the large kitchen enjoying a leisurely breakfast.

We arrived punctually at the pre agreed time, requested by the provider. Sadly, only after 45 minutes and numerous attempts to contact the given telephone number, were we met. The arrival information that was supposed to be provided before arrival never arrived. The administrator who met us was both friendly and helpful. Unfortunate that the toilet seat was in need of maintenance and the sink dripped a little water.

The location is in the heart of historic Verona, safe and secure, and within easy walking distance of sights, shopping and dining. We bought a VeronaCard which gave us use of the public buses plus entrance to sites, but we literally walked everywhere instead (except for a bus to get us from the train station to the apartment and back after our stay). Communication for contactless check in was good, including helpful detailed photos. The apartment is roomy, comfortable - with a large bed and a sleeper sofa, very nicely updated and located in a historic building. It is set up well with modern conveniences including a full size refrigerator, cook top and oven, Nespresso coffee maker, and a washing machine with a drying rack (although there were limited staple items). The bathroom is modern with a spacious shower. It was the perfect location for our visit to Verona and we would stay here again!

The accommodation cost 40 euros more than it was on the booking. Instead of 221 euros, 261 was deducted in advance + 10 cash. I accept the 10 euro tourist tax, not the rest, because we left everything clean, did the dishes, even took out the trash. The cleaning lady who took over the apartment can testify to this. This is an 18% surcharge. My messages, of course, are no longer being answered. I would not recommend it to anyone!

Comms could be better: The property reminded me of their check in time, which is 4-7pm- a week before arrival, which was good. I emailed them many days before arrival, to confirm my arrival time and ask if all okay. I chased multiple times, no answer from them at all. I had to call them to get an answer the day before departure, and I only got the check in instructions when i landed. The bed and particularly the sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable There is one aircon for a very large flat, meaning we were hot the entire time, even with the AC on at 16C. It also broke half way through the holidays (they did fix them quickly, however) The ironing table is not a table (it's like an ironing sleeve) "Their system made an error", and whilst I was out they messaged/called me to ask me to leave the property "because the cleaners had arrived and they have another booking", 1 day before the actual check out

It was in the historic centre within walking distance of a lot of places tourist wants to visit , the place was in private gated area and its very quite the apartment is nice and clean and has everything you need .the host was very kind and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone who want to visit Verona.

Central location in a nice building with a courtyard.

There are no arrangements for being able to easily drop off your luggage before parking to a close by location. The space seems to allow it.

The Residence is situated between Ponte della Vittoria and Porta Borsari which was a most convenient location for walking around the old part of the city, close to cafes, restaurants and places to see, and the Arena. The apartment was spacious, with high ceilings, and very clean. It was on the ground floor, with high barred windows.The kitchen was fully equiped, with a big fridge so a visitor could prepare their own meals if they wanted to.Wi-fi worked perfect. Shower worked, and there was a washing machine in case anyone wanted it.

The bed had 4 pillows, and all of them had the same size, which was too big for my taste, so sleeping was not as comfortable as I would have wanted. The bed however was comfortable enough, and the lighting was very convenient. There was only liquid soap for handwashing and liquid showergel. in the bathroom. I would have appreciated some shampoo as well. I had trouble contacting the owner of the place, but eventually we managed to communictae with messages on Whatsapp. We never met in person, but had an arrangement of where to find the keys when I arrived, and where to leave them at checking out. Although the apartment had the istallation for central heating, it didn't work, but there was an air-conditioner on the hall. Fortunately the place in May was not cold and the apartment was warm enough.
