The apartment is situated in the old town so it's very close to the beach and the restaurants. But there are dozens of apartments in the old town so that's nothing really special.

The apartment was advertised as 9/10 on booking.com but it is nowhere near that standard. It's a cheap 5/10 at best. First thing we noticed after arriving was the smell inside and the fact the whole place was not cleaned. It was so bad we had to start our stay with cleaning most of the kitchen and bathroom. There are two air conditioning units in the flat, both are VERY noisy, plus there's some kind of faulty system to get rid of the condensation underneath that makes a noise every 15-20 seconds. The bathroom is so tiny there isn't space neither for a normal sink, nor for ANY piece of furniture. There isn't even a place to put your toothbrush away. The sink is barely bigger than a single palm. The shower is half the size of a normal shower and you will hit a wall with your elbows with every move. Than after 2 days the shower drain got completely clogged and flooded the floor - we discovered the drain must have been left without cleaning for months. In the living room there is a sofa that's supposed to be the bed when you arrive in more than 2 people. Do not fall for this scam - the sofa is so ruined it barely holds up when you sit on it, not to mention sleeping. But the worst part is location. I was in three other apartments in the Riva del Garda old town in previous years and had zero problems with night time noise. This apartment is located directly above a pub that stays open the longest in the entire old town - restaurants close at 10pm, but this place stayed on until 2:30-3:00am. And then, 3 hours later a garbage truck comes and parks directly under the bedroom window and stays there while the garbage man goes on foot across the entire street, collecting all cans one by one, because the street is too narrow for the truck. The only place he can park is right under the bedroom.

Apartment was not up to the rating it has been scored at. Power was off on arrival, fridge warm and water in the freezer, paper rubbish in washing machine, no tea towel for dishes, no wine opener, chipped plates, only 1 pillow per person, linen needs upgrading very old and worn towels....simply requires some attention to bring it up to the standard that it is rated at....definitely not a 9 in our experience

Location is fantastic! Appartement super functional. It would be great to add a microwave.

Pillows should be changed! Microwave needed.
