Descent for the price... Had all basic amenities. The host was very helpful. My overall opinion is that, considering the price, Little Sicily is ok for staying 2-3 nights, but nothing special.

The toilet flush was running all day long and it was noisy and annoying, especially during the night. The building was very old and purely maintained, resulting extreme moisture (we were waking up sweaty at night) and a wierd smell.

Unfortunately we can't say that we really liked anything at all.

The location, even if it was very close to the historic center and the city's "life", didn't seem very safe. The property even from the outside seemed like it should be renovated. Our apartment was at the ground floor, next to the main entrance of the building, so there was quite a few noise from people getting in and out of the property. The smell of the apartment was awful, our clothes still stink 2 days after we have left, no joke. The laminated floor was damaged, the bathroom door didn't close completely and the shower was blocked and we had to use the plunger before each one of us had a shower. Also, the bed covers had a nasty smell and the apartment's door was very hard to open as there was no handle or grip. Giuseppe, the host, seemed nice from the text messages and he told me that we didn't have to pay for the city tax (per person per night of accommodation) as a gift for the inconvenience with the shower. I surely appreciate this gesture, BUT the thing is that he never let us know we had to pay any taxes (which someone could think of it as a trick for not getting negative reviews because of the apartment's condition). Finally, the photos and the description of the apartment do not represent the reality. We didn't feel comfortable at all at any time! Unfortunately, I definitely don't recommend it!

Avoid at all costs unless you want to ruin your vacation! Only go to this place if you want to torture yourself. If you are looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy your holiday, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! The apartment was incredibly dirty, covered in thick dust and cobwebs, and there was an unbearable stench throughout. It is completely obvious that this filth did not accumulate overnight; the place has clearly not been cleaned or maintained for a very long time. The laminate flooring is warped and buckled everywhere due to water damage. The bathroom was an absolute nightmare: the toilet brush holder was covered in feces, the toilet tank was leaking continuously, and the bathroom door was completely rotten at the bottom and could not even be closed. To make matters worse, the pictures on Booking.com are completely fake and do not match reality at all. When confronted, the owner (Giuseppe) even admitted that he knew about these structural issues beforehand but chose to hide them and rent the apartment anyway. Absolutely unacceptable. Do yourself a massive favor: save your money, protect your health, and run far away from this place! P.S.: The host is lying right now in his public response. To set the record straight, I informed him that I filed an official complaint with Booking.com and would not pay until the investigation was done. As you can clearly see in the attached screenshot, Giuseppe HIMSELF replied that I don’t have to pay the tourist tax! He explicitly told me not to pay it, yet now he publicly claims otherwise. He is lying here just like he lied about the condition of the apartment.
