Ginko

I went to the Rossini Festival and the apartment, while not very close, is at a decent walking distance from 2 main venues. It is located in the older part of the town, close to the harbour, about 10 min walk to the center and also 10-15 min walk to the closest beach. Located on the ground floor of a building at cross-roads, where there is some moderate traffic, including during the night. Spatious and well equipped, with a kitchen with cooking facilities and serving table, a large bed and an extensible sofa, it can host up to 3-4 people [like a family with 1 or 2 kids]. Entrance directly from the street, completely separate from the rest. There is a tv which I never used. A washing machine and a rack for drying, but drying the clothes may be difficult due to the high humidity [about 75-80%]. Ironing facilities. Large fridge with freezer. Good storage space. There are parking spaces on the street, but finding a free one can be challenging. A few shops and eating places around, but opened only a few hours a day, not every day. A good supermarket about 400 m away. The wifi was great. The host, Bruno, is very nice and welcoming. The overall price/quality ratio was good for the period, when all lodgings are top price because of the Festival.

There is no air-conditioning, only a fan, and it could be unpleasant during summer; although the temperature is not very high, it is felt higher due to humidity; one needs to keep the windows open [there are shades to protect from the sun and it doesn't come too long, as there are other buildings and trees blocking it partially] almost always and during the night it may be noisy due to traffic. The bed is a bit hard, I had a bad first night, later I got used to it. Travelling with luggage makes it necessary to take a taxi from the station, which is about 1,5 km away. The nearest beach ia slos almost 1 km away and using a car is not very easy, as the parking places are not easy to find, so walking or cycling is the best.

Parking can be difficult

It was a lovely place in which to stay with our own private patio. We had everything we needed and the host was extremely helpful when necessary.

There was nothing we didn't like.

A great apartment, beautiful town and wonderful owner. We'll be happy to visit again.
