I Due Grifoni Apartments

Was drawn to these apartments by their modern appearance but then worried that it was located outside of the gates. Only is that not an issue, but it ended up being a great decision as it is a 2 minute walk to the Messina Gate, avoids hiking up and down multiple stairs as many areas of Taormina require, and it is quiet. As an added bonus, there are numerous restaurants on the block and on the same side of the gate which are far less touristy than on the main strip. There is a convenience store a few doors down plus a grocery store a block away, multiple pizza places, sandwich shop etc on the block. We didn't use it but there is a bust stop and taxi stand right outside the door. The apartment is modern, spacious, clean, well equipped and as noted above, super convenient. Vincenzo met us when we arrived and is extremely accommodating. Like most anywhere in Taormina, there are steps involved in getting up to the apartment which is no big deal other than once up and once down with the suitcases. Hate to say, but we are seniors and had absolutely no issue. There is a chair lift up to the first floor which I did not see mentioned in the listing but if you are in need of one you should inquire to see if its operational.

It was wonderful stay ! I recommend you to stay in this beautiful , comfortable place with great view . Big flat you had there everything you need , we love our balcony and terrace . Owner is very nice answer all questions wait for us with the key we could leave luggage last day ! We also got tasty wine from owner . Thank you for hospitality . Flat is near to all attractions there are also nice restaurants around and bakery

perfect location for the main sites of town, the cable car station and there's a taxi rank and bus station directly opposite. Great restaurant La Zagara and a sandwich shop that made sandwiches to order. Bed was very comfy, shower was excellent and the roof terrace very spacious - we had it to ourselves a lot of the time

Perfect location - close to cable car bus stop and Main Street. Very spacious apartment and relatively good value.

All was way beyond expectations. The apartment was exceptionally well equipped, excellent upmarket furnishings,comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, good International satellite news, sport and entertainment channels. The apartments are less than 100m from the Messina gate to the Old City. Taxis, shuttles, and hop on hop off busses are at your doorstep. The very affordable public parking and cable way down to the beaches are a 10 minute work away. All 5 star.
