Beautiful property overlooking the sea in a great location only a few yards from town centre

Substantial renovation and building work going on at the moment. Host did a very good job addressing some noise issues to make our stay enjoyable.

We were upgraded to an 4-bed amazing apartment because there was scaffolding & work being done at the front of the building. The apartment was decorated exquisitely and had a fantastic terrace. Location was great, within easy access of the Duomo and all the main historic areas. Wonderful apartment for couples sharing or for a family with older children.

We had no hot water the first evening & though they came and fixed it that day, there was no hot water again the next day. As we were only there for one more night, it didn’t seem worth getting them out again. The coffee maker didn’t work & leaked; the kettle didn’t work either & fused the system, resulting in us having to call the agent out again. On the final day we had to leave by 10am, which was fine, but when I sent a text the night before to ask if we could leave our cases anywhere until our train left later that day, there was no reply. Given the overall high quality of the apartment, this should be matched by the quality of the equipment and service.

The size of the flat and the bedrooms were great; nice size bathrooms as well. Very open and super cool decor. Location was great - close to center and to the ocean; could walk everywhere with ease. Loved the patio overlooking the water, even tho it was toasty to sit out on them, there was a small one and a larger one to enjoy that overlooked the pedestrian street the flat is on.

Wish it had closer parking, but we figured out how to drop off our suitcases and one person as close as possible and then proceed to the parking; also was a bit tricky to find the flat's location - we got incorrect addresses initially, but once we had the correct one, we found the lockbox easily. It was a little concerning that we needed the key in order to exit the stairwell onto the street - seems like a bit of a fire hazard.
