Aquarella Beachfront 2BR Sunset Juan Dolio

I booked this property that I used to stay during my destination wedding for 2 reasons! First, it had free cancelation and second was beachfront! I knew I was not able to enjoy the beach but still booked it just because of the view! it’s a relaxation therapy. I was able to enjoy the sea from my bed in the master and I stayed in the fifth floor. This is my first time booking an air bnb and not a hotel for security reasons. But let me tell you! We used to arrive at midnight and we never felt insecure. There are always security staff on site. The host Cristian and all the staff were a very pleasant people. Not issues at all and they were amazing, responsive. A+! 🥰 The property has that hotel feeling because of the lobby and the way they operate. Etc! I was given a bracelet. You are not allowed to bring more guests than what you have in the reservation but that’s ok! I believe that’s standard for all that kind of properties. I booked the maximum amount of guest just in case but it was going be my husband and I. My sister stayed on and off. The apartment was clean and with a pleasant scent at arrival. The kitchen was well equipped. I brought some bread and stuff for our breakfast. I also LOVE that the bathroom had a large counter and double sink because it was helpful. Bathrooms are deal breakers for me.. The bathroom looked clean and had great amount of water in the showers which I appreciated. the beds were comfortable.

Apartment was cozy and in a centralized location. The pool and the staff was amazing. David, the receptionist, was amazing! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.

It’s not the type of beach that we were expecting, but the view in the morning and the sound of the ocean made up for tens times.

The flat (apartment) was absolutely amazing! The view of the ocean and the sound of waves made it incredible. The rooms and beds were super comfortable, with high quality bedding and towels and lots of storage space. There is also a washer/drier that was very practical to have. The staff were super kind and were always available when we needed advice or supplies (they kindly brought us a jar of sugar when we ran out). Even in the shallow sea water, you could observe many fish! The pool was great and on weekdays it was all super calm. The gym was also very good. Highly recommended!!!

There's only minor objections/comments that did little to spoil our stay. The water in the shower was cold in the evenings (although, might only be a weekday problem, we haven't noticed this at the weekend). Staff could do little about it, as it's up to the building management to sort out. But, unless you like cold(ish) showers, take them early (not helpful after a day in the sea, though). In front of the building, the sea is very shallow for the longest time and then there's some rocks, where the waves break that need to be overcome before being able to properly swim in the sea. With strong waves during our stay, we haven't bothered. So, we haven't swam in the sea much, but luckily there was the pool for swimming, but good to know, I guess.
