The property was clean, that is probably the only positive thing.

Overall, I feel misled by the high rating of this property, as I truly don’t understand where it comes from. The location is very inconvenient. Without a car, it takes at least 30 minutes on foot to reach the beach, around 45 minutes to get to the town center, and the return walk is even longer since it’s all uphill. The apartment itself feels more like a place where an elderly couple or long-term resident was living before the season, rather than a typical Airbnb or Booking.com rental. It has no welcoming atmosphere, and for me, it felt quite unsettling. The worst part of the experience was finding a dirty, used dish sponge left in the kitchen. It might have been intended as some kind of “sustainability practice,” but for guests, it simply feels unhygienic and careless. On the positive side, the owner did try to be helpful by providing restaurant recommendations. However, Cala Gonone as a destination turned out to be overly touristy, with generally low quality in food and service. It’s worth visiting for a day trip to see Cala Luna, but for staying overnight or experiencing authentic Sardinian life, I would strongly recommend choosing Dorgali instead—for both accommodation and dining.

Sehr schönes gepflegtes Haus. Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Parkplätze direkt gegenüber an der Straße.

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, tolle lage oben am berg, man sollte fit sein! Zu fuß ca 20 min ins Zentrum. Toller Ausblick in die Berge und zum Meer. Freundlicher Gastgeber. Es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich geputzt! guter Parkplatz vorm haus!

Einige Dinge zb Küchenutensilien, Waschmaschine,Betten sind sehr in die jahre gekommen.

The apartment is wonderful, clean and new but with Italian charm. Parking is just across the street. The hosts were very helpful with recommendations.
