Dimore Garibaldi - Borgo di Puglia Houses & Lands

Excellent location, just a few meters inside the historic center of Monopoli. The apartment is modern and very nicely decorated. It was great to have some cold water in the refrigerator waiting for us. The unit also has a washing machine and balcony with a nice view to the pedestrian street below. There are many excellent restaurants close by. We were able to find a free parking area (the old cement factory) which was a 10 min walk from the unit.

Although the apartment is in a great location, you cannot drive your car into the historic center, so you have to bring your luggage by foot. The roads are not smooth and we broke the wheels on one of our bags. Also there are a very steep set of stairs leading up to the apartment. That creates a challenge when you have heavy bags or multiple bags to bring up and down. Even without bags, the steps are not easy to navigate. If you were elderly or had young children, I would not recommend this apartment. But you have to remember where you are and the age of the buildings. There was also no where to hang your towel to dry after a shower. There were 4 of us, so we ended up using hangers from the closet. If you choose to use the washing machine, it's difficult to dry your clothes outside as the drying rack that is provided is very small. I also requested a clothes iron, which was provided, but there was not ironing board. There was also no soap (just shower caps and shampoo). Parking is available in the square nearby (blue lines) but it is expensive.

Amazing location right beside several shops , bars and restaurants. A short walk to the sea and nearby beaches ! I would highly recommend!

Perfect location, super central. Modern, clean and spacious apartment with excellent air con!

The flat looks newly renovated but missing a few details - there are no hooks anywhere to hang a towel. A small but impactful detail. No body wash provided. Hand soap dispenser broken. Beware of the dead lock! The door has 3 locks on it. To access you use a hotel style key card. One morning we were locked out and had to get the owner to let us in with physical keys. They arrived within 10 minutes so it was ok, but a slight hassle for both nonetheless.

the apartment was clean and newly renovated. perfect location and walking distance to everything. all appliances were high end and easy to use. beds were comfortable… we loved our stay here!

couldn’t fault it… we’d happily book again if we ever came back!!
