Playa Apartment

On the positive side, the apartment is spacious, there are plenty of towels, the washing machine works well, and there’s a shop, bakery, and café nearby.

The bathroom was poorly cleaned — there were hairs everywhere, and the shower cabin was extremely small. It feels like the apartment is trying to save on small things that are usually left for guests, such as coffee, tea, salt, or sugar. There were only two cups and two forks, which was quite inconvenient. The street outside is very noisy and dirty, and the windows seem old, so you can hear everything all night long. It’s actually not very far from the beach, but there’s a hill to climb on the way back, which makes it quite tiring. It’s better to book something in the tourist area and take the bus instead.

Location was good - 15min to center, 25 min to free beach. But when we said locals where we live they said thie area is not safe, also lots of trash and noise in the streets. No coacroaches. We read many feedbacks about other places having them, but we havent seen here. We requested to 2 keys and got them, also extra towels as we stayed for 11 nights. Small but nice balconies, you can actually see Etna. But motorbikes do the bad for chilling .

The place was smaller than written. We took it because it was written 70m2, living room together with kitchen. But you dont get to use 70m2, few premisses are locked, you get small hall, wc/laundry area, kitchen and bedroom. Kitchen is not spaceous, no sofa or tv (like in pics) or anything that would make it as merged livingroom. Be aware that shower cabin is narrow - may be fine for slim people but trap for plus size humans. Noise! Its a busy street and windows do not isolate sound, old cars and motorbikes go 24/7 leaving tearible noise and smell. Also church bell is very close and starts waking up with melodies at early morning every day, including weekends. Possibly bed bugs? Because we woke up with itchy bites and had small red dots on the skin. Was hoping its mosquitos but we got bitten into body parts that are under blanket. Also, no blankets for cold nights. We stayed in October, at nights 10-15°, and you get only a sheet to cover and thin bed cover. Found one child size blanked which looked dirty full of pet hair... Pillows were very thin but tough, felt like sleeping on a stone. Cleaness. Visual surfaces were clean but if we wanted to use closee drawers, they were dusty, we literally got black cloth when whiped them. Kitchen not fully equiped. There was a pot and pan, dishes (not clean), but they left only dirty sponges and rugs. We had to buy our own sponges, table cloth, salt, sugar, tea, coffee, even oil, dish soap, the tool to flip food in the pan and even kitchen knife! Also no wine glasses, just champagne. Washing machine damaged clothes! It either litetally made a hole or mashed the surface of an item so rough that it looks like old rug, on sensitive wash program! Also, there was no was washing powder for laudry either. Communication was not flexible with the lady, when we complain about one of above she used to say "contact booking" Be aware that check in after 23.00 cost extra 20€. Later check out after 10am cost extra 25€.
