The apartment is centrally located in the heart of the historic old town. The host was always available and responsive to our questions. He was kind enough to share his local recommendations for restaurants and cafés, also willing to extend the check-out time for three hours, which we appreciated.

At first, the surroundings can feel a bit overwhelming, as the building is nestled among local residences where neighbors use the narrow shared outdoor spaces for laundry and personal belongings. On a different note, I’m not usually a critical reviewer, but there are a few points to mention this time. The apartment is spacious, with three bedrooms. Two of them include mezzanine areas with extra beds, but these spaces have very low ceilings and no air conditioning, making them too hot to use comfortably during our stay. Some parts of the apartment felt somewhat outdated and not well maintained. For instance, the toilet paper holder was broken, and the glass shelf in one bathroom was unstable and slanted, making it unusable for placing toiletries. The coffee machine wasn’t working, and although I informed the host, I didn’t receive any response. In addition, the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms was not functioning. It was an extremely hot night, and my in-laws couldn’t sleep well. I contacted the host, and while I understand that it was a Sunday and he couldn’t arrange for a repair, he kindly dropped off a fan. However, it came in a box and required assembly—with no tools provided. My husband had to use a kitchen knife to put it together. Lastly, the shampoo and body soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms was completely empty. So overall, it was not the most comfortable stay compared with other places during our almost two weeks of trip in aItaly.

Big space, enough beds, high ceiling, serval lofts, kitchen has everything we need ( should stay longer) Clean, aircon works well. A wonderful place that we want to go back.

Living room a bit dark but ok

The location is terrific, this apartment is in Ortigia in a quiet street just blocks from the action. There is a roof terrace which has a roof view but was pleasant to spend time there at night. The two main rooms with double beds are very comfortable however the third bedroom which has a single bed and a double on a mezzanine is not comfortable. We loved the location and the facilities but the space for the third couple was a really downer for the stay.

The third bedroom was just not able to accomodate three people. There is a double bed on a mezzanine level but it is impossible to walk around the bed. The space just fits a bed so three people with luggage were squeezed into an area with a single bed and space under stairs - consequently our group was tripping over luggage that needed to be left in the lounge so the group could dress. This apartment would work for two couples and maybe two children but NOT three couples and a single.

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Ortigia Dreamrooms this September. We traveled with another couple and found the apartment spacious, beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a modern touch. To our pleasant surprise, the pantry was stocked with more than just the essentials, which we had not experienced at other places during our travels. The kitchen was well-equipped, featuring a beautiful espresso machine with plenty of delicious coffee, as well as a washing machine. Our host, Giuseppe, was fantastic and very attentive. He provided detailed driving instructions and arranged for parking nearby. Upon our arrival in the evening, we were delighted to find fresh fruit and snacks waiting for us. The apartment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet it is very close to the center, coffee shops, and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again if we travel to Sicily in the future.

The best most considerate host one could wish for! Clean, spacious, well equipped modern apartment in great location. Ideal for a short break with friends or family.

It could be quite noisy if people are partying outside. Nothing that can’t be solved with good earplugs.

Great location, very spacious and clean apartment. Plenty of rooms and beds. Air con was strong and reasonably quiet. Bonus that there is a washer/dryer available

One of the best accommodations on our travels. Three giant rooms, very modern and clean and in a wonderful location. It has all the facilities that you need, aircon in every room (necessary for summer) and ensuite in each room. It has a private terrace upstairs as well.
