Matera nel Cuore

The appartment is next to the main square of Matera. The place is clean and comfortable while the hosts are extremely helpful.

There is nothing that I didn't like

Location excellent as so near busy old town but apartment on side street so no noise. Spacious homely apartment. Host provided a lot of extras…fridge with drinks, coffee tea etc and breakfast snacks plus things like salt,pepper oil (some places never leave that which if you want to make a light lunch is nice not to have to go out and buy) host provided lots of leaflets and recommended some restaurants …our favourite was the Soul KItchen -

Nothing really …perhaps the single bed mattress was a bit hard…. I only slept there one night as my husband snored!

It was too noisy at night. People from across the road would talk on the pavement until sometimes 1AM, then trucks would come down the street at 5.45AM, so overall not alot of sleep was obtained. Apart from this the place was excellent.

Nice and welcoming, perfect location

Very friendly owner, Mariella, met us at the agreed time and showed us through the apartment and where to park our car (paid park 50m from apartment). The apartment was extremely comfortable and well equipped, including hot and cold beverages and snack food. Mariella was easy to contact and gave us good suggestions for where to eat. The location was also excellent for walking around the Sassi.

The only thing that could have been better was us planning to have more time there!
