A Palermo Sono

My family and I really had a great time at A Palermo sono; it was very clean and being very central made it handy to walk around the city. We were really impressed by the hosts kindness and their warm welcoming. The first day we had a small issue with the keys and Antonio made sure to come in person, fix it and follow up afterwards.

Really liked my stay there, the only thing that I can think of were the pillows, not the most comfortable ones but okay :)

We were a short distance from our friends. It was very clean, well appointed, couldn’t say enough about Alexandra and Antonio. Had a small yet efficient kitchen, washing machine, wifi printer. Loved the “master” bedroom and smaller guest room. Our hosts had water, coffee, breakfast foods, everything needed was in place.

The bathroom-laundry area is very warm. I suggested providing a small fan to use if while showering/washing hair/blow drying. Please know the AC works beautifully in the bedrooms, kitchen area. Hot air rises and that area is higher. It would not be a deal breaker.

The entire accommodation was clean and comfortable. The hosts were helpful and advised what to visit in Palermo. The shop is a short way up the road above the accommodation. The center and the cathedral were quite close to the accommodation.

Antonio was very helpful! He answered all our questions. He arranged for us a driver, who picked us up at the airport at 1:00 A. M. and the price was 50 Euros. The apartment was really close to the historical center of Palermo. It was easy to get to the famous cathedral in Monreale as well (there is a bus stop only 3 minutes walk from the apartment, the bus goes directly to Monreale). The apartment was very clean and it was easy to cook there- the kitchen was very well equiped. There were small supermarkets on the street and a lovely bakery. We went to Mondello beach three times and it was not complicated at all. The bus number 806 goes quite often, there was just a little problem that it seems like that the bus n. 806 is most probably the only bus, which goes according to the schedule, the other busses in Palermo- that is just a nightmare, but we took the Lime scooters to get around the town and it was fun.

There was not enough day light in the apartment and no balcony, but that is just my feeling and the host provided planty of pictures of the apartment- I just did not realized that, when I booked it, so it is my fault, not the fault of the host. The street was not so clean, but that is something that is not a fault of the host, simply Palermo is not as clean city as Prague.
