Griante suites

Maria, the manager, went above and beyond to provide all the helpful details I needed as a solo traveler: how to get there, where to go when I got there, transportation, where the mini market was, restaurants and coffee bars in walking distance (as I didn't have a car), nearby tourist attractions, and more. She was very responsive when I needed help with anything, and just an overall very kind person. I also met the owner of the property, and he was also super nice! The place was clean, comfortable, peaceful, with a beautiful view of the lake from my terrace. Loved the bathtub! I had access to everything I needed in walking distance. (Just be prepared to do a lot of hiking uphill.) I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was at Griante Suites.

spacious and perfect for a family of four. It is not in the heart of the very touristic part of town, but close enough. Its calm and lovely. A beautiful short walk uphill takes you to one of the most breathtaking view spots of Florence.

Everything was exceptional. Very easy access from ferry. Also, good restaurants around. There is everything that you might need for a stay (iron, hair dryer, everything in the kitchen).

The location was a quiet tranquil escape from the crowds of other villages. There was a smart tv and we could watch something in English in the evenings when we got back. The owner was the kindest man! The place was so large and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable

Comfortable flat, fantastic view over Lake Como, and close to the boats who takes you to other small villages around the lake. Restaurants nearby, but you have to “boat” to the other cities

Fantastic views from the terrace across the lake to Bellagio so it was lovely to sit out there with a drink. Large sitting room and kitchen with a dishwasher and dishwashing tabs which makes eating in so much nicer on holiday. The washing machine was also a bonus although there was no washing powder to use. There is a lovely pizza restaurant in the village of Griante only 5 minutes walk away. It had an off road parking space. The walk down steps to the lake and ferry only takes 5 minutes but quite a bit longer returning! It was good to have 2 separate bathrooms when there were 4 people.

We could have done with a small table on the terrace to put our drinks down while admiring the view. We also needed more than 2 wine glasses for 4 adults. The room with 2 single beds really needs bedside lights like the ones in the double bedroom.
