Sunny Flat - SELF Apartments

Excellent location for exploring the old part of Cefalù, loved it. Some reviews have said it was loud outside but we didn’t notice that at all, if anything we felt it was nice and quiet compared to other streets in the old town. The apartment is quirky and old (so expect creaky floorboards!) and the instructions for self check in were very easy to follow. Liked how spacious the apartment was and great that it has two toilets. Also the space to dry towels etc on the balcony was a big help!

Although it’s a lovely apartment, we didn’t feel it was the cleanest of the places we had stayed on our visit to Sicily - some stains on the top bed cover, and the toilets didn’t feel spotlessly clean. The shower tray takes a long time to drain water which made showering a bit unpleasant. I also felt a little uneasy at the lack of smoke/fire alarm in this old apartment - I may have missed it, but I couldn’t see one anywhere.

A very well-equipped beautiful apartment right on the edge of the city center. Very good location - about a 10-minute walk to the main beach of Cefalu, less than 10 minus to the train station. Good and prompt communication with the host. Easy self check-in and check-out.

These are the things some people might not be comfortable with: - The apartment is in the 2nd floor with a lot of stairs - not suitable for elderly people or people with limited mobility. - You need to sleep with the AC on in the upstairs bedroom during warmer nights since there is no window. These are just observations, I'm giving 10 points anyway. 🙂

I fell from the stairs INSIDE of the apartment and it absolutely destroyed everything the rest of my vacation. I am sportsperson, very active and no i wasn’t drunk. My leg sled on the stairs as they are very slippery. I lost days of work even, the pain was really bad. I was incredibly lucky to don’t break anything. After the fall i tried to sleep in the bed upstairs but it was impossible, the mattress must be incredibly old because it was like sleeping on a stone. For 120 eur for night for just two people I think it’s way to expensive. I wish i would have stayed in another place and could had enjoyed my only vacation after two years properly.

It's perfect location, next to town centre, everything is easy to reach and in a walking distance in a nice and.safe area.Spacious apprtmen with 2 toilets.

Because it's in the centre a bit noisy at night and there is no window in the bedroom.
