Ortigia Loft Via Malta, 22

First off I came early and my host was there cleaning. She helped me find a parking space and even backed the car in. We agreed to meet in an hour and she recommended a close place for lunch (delicious) and walked me through everything I needed to know, left me with home grown oranges, water, and the name of a spectacular restaurant that served local Sicilian food. She told me where I could find things in the neighborhood. Check out was easy. Her English was excellent and that made things very easy for me. The place was comfortable, a couple of blocks from the UNESCO area of Ortigia which was a fantastic area to explore in Siricusa. My only regret was that I didn’t stay longer. Bathroom and shower were great, bed comfortable, kitchen perfect. Nice neighborhood. Laundromat a block away. I will be returning here some day, hopefully soon.

Really excellent. The hosts were very accommodating and paid great attention to the fine details to ensure a happy stay for the guests. All the facilities were superb, all bases covered, as was the location. Ortigia is expensive so this option is thoroughly recommended to budget down meals costs, taking advantage of the modem kitchen with the apartment being a stone throw away from the centre. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you.

- Very noisy main road outside makes it hard to sleep - No real windows creates not the nicest atmosphere inside - Wifi not available at the start as the owner had taken the router home. It is important for travellers, so if you are ready to accept a reservation offering WiFi you should ensure it is there as an experienced host

Location was great - easy 5 min flat walk to Ortigia, unit is renovated very nicely, Carmella was fabulous to deal with, had some toys for the kids to play with!

For light sleepers it is a little bit noisy being on the ground floor but absolutely no problem for our family.

Great location in walking distance of Ortigia. We were able to shop at the Saturday market & prepare food in the apartment. Also close to lots of restaurants. Hosts are wonderful.

The apartment is very comfortable, and includes separate dining-table and sofa, so you can relax after a hard days venturing out. Its location is ideal for stepping over onto Ortigia, we went for an evening stroll along the promenade as the sun went down. Carmela & Tiberio are enthusiastic and welcoming hosts, and will do all they can to answer your needs. We used it to visit Ragusa, Scicli, Noto, the Archaeological Park in Syracusa, or simply explore Ortigia

As others have said, the Wifi speed is not great, but if you have a separate GPS Hotspot, then this does not matter. Parking can be a problem, but you soon learn to park a bit away for free The front door does open onto a busy road, so there does tend to be a bit of noise from late-night revelrers, and morning traffic. Ear plugs are provided
