Charming Place 2 Taormina

VERY flexible and relaxed owners running the place, who stayed up till late at night to check us in after we had had trouble at the airport and on the road. THANK you. Lovely view of the sea and the coast of the Italian mainland, especially at night. TV, Wi-Fi and washing machine worked well. Kitchen equipment was OK for our purposes. PLACE WAS CLEAN. One small store about 800m away provides most of your groceries, another one (Conad) is not much further away, close to the touristy mile, and has everything you need to cater for yourself. Distance to town centre and to the cable car station is a long walk with two kids (7/9). Beaches are too far away and too hot in the summer sun to walk (we tried and, yes, can be done, views on the way are nice, but no, not again). Having a garage makes this apartment an excellent base for those who want to explore the area around Taormina by car. And those who do not mind a walk will enjoy the walk down into town, and find that this apartment is also a good place to explore Taormina from.

1st bed for persons 1&2 was really comfy. The 2nd bed (for persons 3&4) is in fact a sofa in the living room and is also a folding bed, which is OK for an accommodation of this category. This particular one made squeaky-creaky noise with every move you made while lying on it, so the persons lying on it would find it somewhat difficult not to keep each other awake… but, honestly, the view (and another cup of coffee next morning) made up for that. Bring your own coffee, by the way. If you are only 2 persons, the problem won’t arise, and even a single person sleeping on that foldable might have less difficulty falling asleep than we had. All in all, it wasn’t a serious issue.

It has beautiful uninterrupted views of the sea, where you can have your morning coffee while enjoying the morning sun. The apartment is renovated, very clean, and the bedding was comfortable, and all the furniture was well maintained. Host left us a little some snacks for the morning, which was a nice touch.

The towels were a little bit rough, but in saying that, they did the job and there were plenty of them.

Location was a little out of the way , but there was parking.

We made an error in booking, confusing the Charming place with another also named Charming . The host assisted us with an extra foldout bed. For which we were very grateful . However we found the host , like the rest of Taormina, was over tourists . It was the least welcoming of places we experienced in a one month holiday in Sicily . Perhaps visiting out of season would be better.

Easiest 10 out of 10. Mesmerising view. Perfect location. Furnuture brand new. Each room seperate condition. Normal bathroom.

Hillside apartment with a view of the sea. Great to have parking and a washing machine.

Roomier, short walk from the downtown, fully equipped, great view, good air-conditioning, secure garage, free parking, and a nice shower. After we got lost our host drove up and met us to assist. Tip. Our Garmin GPS directed us the wrong way, if you are using a GPS, after you pass through a narrow Arch, turn right, the GPS will try to direct you left.
