Obererhof

Peaceful and quiet cabin.

Everything about this place is just great: 1) the place on the mountain slope in the middle of a mountain meadow high above the town (Brixen); 2) the size of the apartment is exceptionally sufficient for a group of four and could easily host eight people with comfort; 3) there is everything that one might need after a long day of hiking the mountains nearby or elswhere in the Dolomites (many mountain groups can be reached within an hour or so) - kitchen with everything a modern kitchen can have but also a wood-fire stove just in case, a really big bathroom with bath and shower and special heater in addition to sufficiently big towel dryers, and a Miele washing machine, and a window with a mountain view; 4) the beds may seem too simple at the first glance, but you will be pleasantly surprised - the matresses, the bed linen, blankets and pillows were just perfect (nothing synthetic) - hands down the best sleeping experience (three nights) during ten days of travel; 5) as the house is situated well above the valley the views on tghe way to Obererhof and from the windows and the balcony across the valley are just stunning; 6) the place is quiet, there is no light pollution at night, can watch the stars at night if no clouds; 7) there is sufficient place for parking thecar under the roof, which is comfy if it is raining; 8) the road to Obererhof may seem a bit tricky for some, but our family absoluteluy enjoyed it - the narrow serpentine through the forest and the meadows is wonderfull, you will fully appreciate it only once you get there and look back at the road from the house; 9) the place is 10/10 for those looking for "in the middle of nowehere" feeling while being just 15-20 minutes away from the civilisation by car and an hour or so on foot; 10) do not underestimate the nearby Plose mountain - a day's visit there is a must if staying at Obererhof, it offers fantastic views from the top towards many mountain ridges around; 11) Alois is such a...
