Ventegà Sea View Apartment with Balcony

The location was amazing and the view out of the patio was perfect. It was nice there was a small elevator to get any bags up to the top floors. There was also a hair dryer which is nice if you need one and don't want to carry one. The main bedroom was a nice color and the bed comfortable. Trains ran regularly through the area so you could grab one most of the time depending on where you were headed. The hosts communicated well via booking.com and we were able to do an online check in with our passports.

For the price of $1,200 for two nights we were expecting something a bit nicer and wanted to pay for that. Again we were not looking necessarily for budget accommodations. The apartment showed it's age, and I don't mean character, I mean age. This is a high tourist area so I get that. The entry of the building is very dark in the evening with limited to no light, and marble with a significant mold smell. Again older building but it's pretty ax-murdery when you walk in the main entrance. As a heads up if you are thinking of breakfast as in a cappuccino, a croissant, or bread with a bit of ham or something think again. Breakfast is a basket of oldish cookies and some instant nescafe and no creamer even in a small sample size. If you are looking to hike through the Cinque-Terre region and want just a basic place this would work fine. Heads up if you are new to the Cinque-Terre region don't bring a roller bag. You will struggle with it on the cobblestone streets and the hills. If you are checking in after 6PM you'll grab your key from a lock box up the hill with a code and then need to figure out how to get there. Google maps does not mark it well. Also heads up we traveled in September and everywhere was packed.

Vernazza was in my estimation the best town to walk to Monterosso and Corniglia as far as easier approach. The Apartment is well situated at the base of the hill for both views and for limiting the noise from the train. We very pleased. Don’t expect luxury, but it’s a great place in an old fishing town by the sea in a national park!

A couple more tea towels would have come in handy

AMAZING VIEW!!!

Location is great. Right next to the pier but not far from the train station - Vernazza has only one main street. The host Marco was super kind and helpful! We arrived to a focaccia and a lovely Ligurian wine. :) The balcony is not large but it is special.

To be fair, the bathroom is a bit small. Because the building itself is old. Someone bulkier or taller might not fit entirely below the shower.
