Our host Arianna was very helpful and welcoming and even picked us up from the centre to take us to the apartment after our long journey arriving. She was also very responsive if we ever sent her a message about anything during our stay. The apartment is in a handy, pretty location for a family that doesn't mind a bit of walking and a hill. 15 mins max to the beach, 10 if you used the smaller beach, 10 mins to supermarket and 10-15 mins into the centre of Bellagio with different routes taking you to both ends of the centre. Villa Melzi was also 10 mins away as there was an access point just before you reached the smaller beach. All the routes are picturesque to walk. There was a lido with a pool, sunbeds and bar just 5 mins away from the apartment and a takeaway restaurant a few mins further. It was a well kept neighbourhood with some lovely houses and mountain/hill views. The only noise was the cars on the road and some building work on a nearby plot but we noticed that there were time slots for the works and it was managed with respect for the neighbourhood including screening. When our windows were closed we didn't hear any noise and even with open windows/doors the lower positioning of the apartment meant the noise was minimal. The apartment was clean and spacious for a family of four with two teenage girls and had adequate storage space. The beds were comfy and the bathroom and washing machine worked well. The air conditioning also worked well and kept the place cool if it was needed. The apartment's lower positioning kept it cool naturally too. The WiFi was good and we were able to access our netflix etc subscriptions via the TV. We needed an extra table for one of my daughters to do some school work on and this was kindly provided for us too 😊

You could hear some noise from the people in the apartment above but we were expecting that from reading previous reviews. In the evenings we used mosquito deterrents and kept the doors closed due to the property's proximity to tall pine hedges. This did the trick at keeping most mosquito bites at bay. The dressing table chair was missing.

Walk to town was a little far and on a busy street, a coffee maker would have been appreciated

It is a little far of a walk from the town centre, especially coming back from the town as it is uphill but is doable. Wish there were more hangers for clothes.

The apartment is in a good location not too far from the town centre. Though coming back it’s a steep climb as other reviews had mentioned. It was clean and spacious. And it was good to have a parking spot, though it’s down a pretty steep driveway. Communication was very good with the owner as well with some great cafes and restaurant recommendations. Bathroom was spacious with a washing machine.

It was plain. Definitely not luxury. A place to sleep at night and cook the occasional meal when not going out to a restaurant. It is not a place you want to laze around in. Or sip coffee and look outside. If didn’t have any particular characteristics or a nice outlook or an inviting garden to sit in. The lawn is narrow or looking at the car parking. We didn’t sit outside once despite the beautiful weather. Next time I would definitely stay somewhere with a view onto the beautiful lake. Even if it meant staying in beautiful Varenna or another town as the ferries are easy to use. We insisted on staying in Bellagio and it was a mistake. For the same price I could have rented somewhere a little more “Italian” with character/ architecture or with a nice view. But overall we had a really good week as most of the time we were out all day.
