Casa Carraturo

The property looked pristine and perfect. All white and clean, it was in a gated community in the midst of lemon gardens in the outskirts of Sorrento. The apartment was spacious and had sea view.

Everything looked perfect, but did not work perfectly. 1. I tried putting laundry twice but couldn't get the machine to work- perhaps a setting was off or the water was closed. 2. I tried preparing a quick cold meal with mozzarella, there was balsamic vinegar and salt but not olive oil and pepper. 3. Finally, the worst experience was taking a shower. I tried taking a shower at 7 am and I couldn't get the water to heat. There was a gas water boiler that was turning on and heating the water, but then suddenly the water became cold again. I had to wait 10 min and then start over again. Perhaps, with minor adjustments, these issues can be resolved, but I only stayed for three nights and did not have the time to address them.

We like this place with seaview, with two balconies with a sofa, it is close to the main Street, to the center. This apartment is clean and comfortable for holiday. We had a late check in and Flavia was so cheerful and met us up around 23.00pm and explained everything we needed, thank you Flavia!!!

Casa Carraturo is spacious, clean, well-equipped and provides a great base for exploring the area. Flavia was so kind and helpful, answering our questions and providing information to help us make the most of our stay.

Property is in middle of Sorrento with 10 minutes walk. It is close to train/bus station, walking to many area of attractions. It has nice balcony for morning breakfast. Kitchen is small but has everything you may need during stay. The front yard is nice with orange trees. Sorrento is small city with limited beaches. We spent one day tour to Capri & Ana Capri with combination of bus and ferry. Another day we surf Positano and amalfi with bus to enjoy the roads. And of course one day to hike on “path of god” it is a hike along the see with amazing view. From Sorrento should take train to castellammare (30 minutes, 2.49 euro) take bus from castellammare to Bomerano/Agerola (1:15 hours 2.49 euro)Should check schedule for both train & bus. Then start your hike. There are 2 roads to hike somewhere down the road the one with 325A or 327A are longer and other one on the left shorter and along the see. Hike is manageable with beautiful scenery. At the end of hike there are 2 choices: take 1700 short steps going down to Positano or go to an area to take either mini bus or burger golf carts. I still like cinque Terre hike in between 5 villages more (we divided our hike in two days hike to enjoy each villages).

We really liked that the location was well positioned, it looked better live than in the pictures (which rarely happens!) so we had a nice surprise when arriving at the propriety. The balconies were spacious and with a nice furniture so it was lovely to sit there in the evening when arriving home. All of the above complemented by the really kind and responsive host who even gave us a gift at departure made it a great stay. Would really recommend the place!

Everything was just fantastic. Perfect location - 5-10 min walk from P. Tasso. Very secure. Glimpse of the sea from the balcony. Spacious. Fantastic caring pleasant owner. Very thoughtfully stocked. Very well prepared for our stay. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. After 3 tiring days, always looked forward to going back to the apartment. Flavia is a very pleasant lady and she did everything to make our stay comfortable and a memorable one. When we arrived, she came down to receive us and handover the keys and escorted us to the apartment. She had mindfully kept cookies, chips etc for us in the apartment. The kitchenet had all the necessary utensils , a coffee maker and everything else that was needed for our short stay. The bathroom was dry, spick and span with everything that we needed in place. I will rate the apartment 11 out of 10 :). Thank you Flavia ! If I ever return to Sorrento, we will choose your apartment.

Very spacious with necessary amenities and decent location. Owner was very welcoming and helpful!

It's an apartment in a complex, very close to downtown of Sorrento> an old building but clean, comfortable apartment with a small kitchenette. Our host was a great Lady, very friendly and helpful. So it was a very happy stay in Casa Carraturo.
