LA CASETTA - Free public parking

De locatie was prima, 10 minuten lopen naar het oude centrum Siena.

De airco, die is alleen in de woonkamer, slaat wel uit na een half uur. Slaapkamer is daardoor erg warm. En we misten een normaal koffiezetapparaat.

Just location, but it is very difficult to find parking at certain times of day.

GUESTS BEWARE ! THE HOST HAS THE AIRCON SET UP ON A TIMER SO THAT IT TURNS OFF EVERY COUPLE OF HOURS, WHICH MEANS THAT YOU HAVE TO EITHER GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO TURN ON THE AIRCON OR BE UNCOMFORTABLE. THE ROOM IS VERY WARM WHEN THE AIRCON IS OFF CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW UNCOMFORTABLE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER. WE HAD TO GET UP FOUR TIMES DURING THE NIGHT TO TURN THE AIRCON BACK ON WHICH MEANT THAT WE DID NOT GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP. IT IS DISINGENUOUS TO ADVERTISE ACCOMMODATION WITH AIR-CONDITIONING IF IT AUTOMATICALLY DISABLES ITSELF. IT IS VERY MEAN OF THE HOST TO DEPRIVE GUESTS OF BASIC COMFORTS IF THEY WANT TO BEHAVE IN THIS WAY THEY NEED TO BE CLEAR IN THE WAY THAT THEY ADVERTISE THE ACCOMMODATION AND SAY THAT IT ONLY HAS PARTIAL AIR-CONDITIONING. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED SOMETHING LIKE THIS. Update following the host's response to our feedback.  Attached, you can see the whatsapp conversation with the host. this is from the day that we checked in - initially we went out and the air-con had turned itself off. The flat was warm when we arrived, so we turned the air-con on before going out to get some food we discovered upon returning that the air-conditioning had turned off and the flat was hot again. the temperature in sienna at that time was around 30°c. When we returned to the property, we turned it back on again and it turned itself off after a couple of hours, even though we were in the property sat in the room. This is why i followed up with the second message to the host as you can see in the screenshot attached. For the host to say that we did not contact him is untrue - we clearly raised the issue at the earliest possible moment we even asked him if it was going to turn itself off during the night or not. He responded yes as you can see. The attached evidence from WhatsApp says it all. Trying to blame the guests for not informing him when we clearly had is dishonest.

Smooth check-in (even though I had missed the very clear instructions). Very friendly host, nice little welcome surprise - and a beautiful, spacious, fully equipped, modern apartment. (Night lights that you only need to touch, and there are even adapters provided for the Italian sockets.) What more could you wish for? I hope to come back here. Location is excellent. Free street parking is tight but can be found with patience. 15-minute walk to the center of Siena with beautiful sceneries. Great homebase if you rent a car to explore Tuscany.

Accoglienza top. Check in tramite app comodissimo per l'arrivo a tutte le ore! Cucina molto funzionale ( presenti bollitore e microonde). Prodotti bagno presenti e apprezzati. Passeggiando 5 minuti verso la fine della strada ci si affaccia sul Duomo. Presente a 5 minuti a piedi una pizzeria a taglio e davanti un piccolo supermercato fornitissimo anche per rosticceria.
