Castelvecchio Loft

We liked the location, it was very close (walking distance) to many world class attractions. The amenities were clean and the room was quiet and the air conditioning was a God send. ( it was 36' outside.)

We could not get the coffee machine to work. Not sure if it was user error!!

Amazing communication with host. Uniquely furnished apartment. Great location - close to centre of town. Would book again.

Great location in the heart of the city. Just 10 minutes walk from the Coliseum. Very quiet street. There is even a parking place available to be rented with the apartment but the max car height is 1.8m. Easy communication with the host.

The apartment is bit small but in general this is normal for apartments in city center.

The location is great. The accommodation is very clean (and the cleaner is lovely) with a good shower.

The place is absolutely tiny and (as other reviewers have noted) incredibly cluttered with a whole bunch of useless stuff that gets in the way and makes it hard to move. An umbrella stand and a decorative ladder, not to mention the chandelier (!) and various other fussy rococo design features. I couldn't figure out how to work the stove (one other reviewer has noted this and ended up not being able to use it at all). I contacted the owner to asked how to turn it on and she told me to read the manual - the manual was many pages long and included info on how to install the thing. I had to wade through pages before I could find my answer. All while trying to cook my children dinner. It would have been better to have simple instructions. The neighbours were also having a party next door and were noisy in the hallway while we tried to sleep. But the absolute worse thing is that the owner was so aggressive and rude to me. In my haste to book all our accommodation in Italy, I must have accidentally booked for two adults rather than one adult and two children. After we left, she sent me a message saying she was going to contact the police and saying we had damaged the apartment and left it in a mess so she was going to tell booking.com so I would have to pay. I asked her what damage we had done and she didn't reply. I told her that I would walk back there and clean up any mess we made. She didn't reply. So I tried calling and she didn't answer. I then walked back to the apartment and told the cleaner that I would clean the apartment myself if we had made a mess. The cleaner was lovely and said she didn't know what I meant and that everything was fine. I paid a bunch of money for my small son and left. Honestly, felt like a scam. The owner was saying I had left the apartment in a mess to get more money. Just the worst stay for our entire time in Italy.

A fabulous apartment for a couple or 2 adults and 1 child. It is a small space but designed very well and the furnishings are beautiful. The host was fantastic, we didn't meet but she answered every question promptly and recommended a delightful restaurant for dinner, the food was delicious. The location is great, we could walk everywhere. There is parking for 15€ per day a few metres from the apartment. We would definitely stay again.
