Schönes Altstadt-Apartment ''Dolce Vita'' inkl Parkplatz

Absolute Empfehlung! Die Wohnung hat wirklich alles was man im Urlaub braucht und ist blitzblank sauber, tolles großes, bequemes Bett, großes cooles Badezimmer mit riesiger Dusche, voll ausgestattete Küche mit Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine und  ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer. Sie ist viel größer als man von den Bildern vermutet. Alles modern und gemütlich. Super vom Vermieter ist eine extra  Zufahrtsgenehmigung für die Altstadt von Riva. Dadurch konnten ganz easy direkt bis zur Haustür fahren, um das Gepäck auszuladen. Zum Glück gibt es sogar einen Fahrstuhl! Die Wohnung ist in perfekter Lage, direkt in der zauberhaften Altstadt in einem sehr schönen alten Palazzo. Alle Bars, Restaurants und Läden direkt vor der Haustür. Einen Parkplatz gibt es nahe, in der Garage Terme Romane. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, hell, alles neu renoviert. Der nette Vermieter kümmert sich echt toll. Wir bekamen eine kostenfreie Garda-Guestcard. Wir konnten damit viel Geld sparen durch kostenlose Eintritte und gratis Bus und Bahn fahren. Die Entsorgung des Mülls funktioniert wie inzwischen überall in Italien über eine Chipcard ein paar Meter weiter. Great location right in the old town, with parking and the Trentino Guest Card included – both very convenient. We also appreciated the permission to enter the pedestrian zone to drop off luggage. The host was communicative, Wi-Fi worked well, and there were toys for kids, which was a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the apartment didn’t feel properly prepared. A drying rack blocked the entrance, and cleanliness was an issue – dirty dishes, broken items, leftover cables, and post-renovation materials were left in the cupboards. Some furniture was worn and not fully clean. The kitchen was also poorly equipped – only two forks for four people. Overall, a well-located place with potential, but it needs better cleaning, organization, and attention to guest readiness.

The location is nice. It is located in the old part of Riva and there is an excellent ice cream shop just around the corner. Having said that, because it is in the old town, one cannot drive close to the flat, and hence one has to carry your luggage quite a distance from the closed U-turn spot.

The host. Because the previous guest lost the parking card, the host expected us to go to the municipality and get a new one for him. We did this as a favour to him. Unfortunately, it turns out that it is illegal for tourist to use the owner's parking, and thus we had to pay €34 to park in town. All this "heated debate" with town officials took place in Italian with a translator... Not what I want to do on my holiday. Then, when we finally got to the flat, there was no electricity and hence no warm water to take a shower after a long day. After waiting for more than an hour for the owner to get back to us, we had to go round the back of the flat complex, down into the basement to locate the flat's electricity meter (in the dark - could not find the light switch) and turn the electricity on again. Also, in spite of having a cleaning company to clean the flat (who could have switched the electricity on prior to our arrival), we had to put the washing away so that we can use the dining room table and use the lounge area. There were also no tabs for the dishwasher and no waste bin bags for the bio and other waste. Later we found the normal bags on the floor next to the washing machine. We had to go and buy both dishwasher tabs and bin bags. After using the dishwasher, it turns out that the filter was not cleaned, and we had to redo our dishwashing. The kitchen also has an ant problem. Then on leaving, there was a big sign that we had to throw away all the rubbish, or risk a fine of €80. However, after walking a considerable distance to go and throw away the rubbish. The bins were locked. Only afterward, the host informed us that there is a special card one has to use to "unlock" these bins.

We have just had a great few days in the Dolce Vita apartment! Our conclusion: This apartment is a real insider tip and we would love to come back!! The day before our arrival we received the code for our self-check-in from the super nice landlord, which we found very practical given our late arrival. There was even an access permit for entering the old town of Riva, which allowed us to drive straight to the front door. The apartment is in a fantastic location, right in the beautiful old town of Riva del Garda. What's really cool is that a free parking space is included in the underground car park! The apartment is much larger than you think from the pictures. Super clean and bright, brand new, beautiful bathroom, everything in the kitchen, large bed with good mattress, cozy living room with large dining table, nice balcony, storage room for the bikes. It really is fully recommended! The modern apartment has everything you need, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. We found the entrance to the spacious staircase of the old palazzo with the elevator impressive. We particularly liked the short distances to the water, the parks and the bars and restaurants right on our doorstep. You can go shopping in the many surrounding shops! Just lovely. Karsten also offered us great service with the Garda Guest Card! This means you can save a lot when you visit museums and sights for free, as well as travel by bus and train ☝️😉. On the cool evenings we were able to quickly set a comfortable temperature thanks to the heating controller. Thank you Karsten for the great communication with you and the wonderful time with you!
