Wonderful hostess, exceptional location and the apartment was spacious and lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the afternoon, people watching. The breakfast supplies were so good, that we supplemented them with some salad, cheese and tomatoes and made our own lunches as well. Thank you so much. We loved Matera

This was an exceptional place to stay. Fabulous location with a magnificent view. Everything was spotless Giovanni left so much food for breakfast and snacks. Giovanni was warm, friendly and helpful. A must to stay when in Matera ❤️

The location was great. Very close to all the attractions the beautiful hiking trail. The view was amazing as well. The owner of the property was super friendly and lives just upstairs so is always available if the need arises. Apartment was very well equipped, clean and spacious. It has the cutest front porch from where I was able to watch the beautiful sunrise over the Sassi

Amazing location and a perfect hostess

Our apartment was terrific. Giovanna provided enough breakfast food for our 5 days, and also prosciutto, sausage, cheese, eggs, mild, water and lemon tea in the fridge, which was fantastic. We had an extremely comfortable stay in the Sassi. Giovanna checked in to see how we were going. The apartment is extremely well situated, with amazing views. Highly, highly recommend this apartment.

For each trip we take, there is always a stand out experience. Our stay in Matera at Tuttle Le Albe nei Sassi was it for this nearly 8 week trip. We travel without a car. Giovanna from our first contact promptly provided the information we needed to make our trip to matera, a stress free reality. The view across La Gravina to the caves of the Murgia, into Piazza S. Pietro Caveoso and the Sassi beyond exceeded our expectations. If you signal, The sassoline bus will stop at the bottom of the steps to pick you up or drop you off. ( or get on at the Piazza ). The entrance to the path down the steep slope of La Gravina to the suspension bridge is less than 100 metres away. A short distance uphill in Piazza Sedile was a good grocery store. There are plenty of choices to eat out within a short distance. We loved eating on the small terrace overlooking the view. The apartment was very comfortable with obvious thought having been put into a traveller’s needs. It was clean and beautifully furnished. The breakfast provided was ample and varied. Giovanna is a treasure: welcoming, helpful but not intrusive.
