Appartamento Loreto

Appartamento Loreto is a well appointed and decorated first-floor apartment centrally located on a surprisingly quiet street in Lucca, and thus conveniently placed for visits to all the notable landmarks. The apartment has everything one could possibly want by way of equipment including oven, hob, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a very large bedroom with an extremely comfortable super king-sized bed. The apartment had been meticulously cleaned prior to our arrival so we did our best to keep it that way! Lorenzo was a very welcoming host (although we only met via WhatsApp) and gave full instructions on how to find the key and let ourselves in, which made for a very relaxed arrival with no need to worry unduly about what time we were likely to arrive.

The layout of the apartment means that the bedroom is much larger than the living/dining room/kitchen, which makes the main living space quite small, although perfectly OK for a short stay by a couple. The 37 stone stairs up to the apartment are a killer after a hard day of sightseeing, especially the final few that are extra steep and for which there is no handrail. Older (especially unfit) folk and/or the frail would probably find the stairs too much of a challenge, especially if carrying a heavy suitcase or bag of shopping.
