Bologna Boutique Home

This really nice apartment is newly renovated and in an historic building. It is in a very safe and absolutely perfect location. It is near the University of Bologna but also is within about a 5 minute walk of the old historic section of town (which is where you want to be in Bologna). There are many food/drink options (as well as several gelaterias and a supermarket) within a 5-10 minute walk, including several that are on on the same block as the apartment. It is very clean and attractive, and it has everything you need provided (including plenty of pillows which we have found often not to be the case in European short-term rentals). It is the perfect size for a family with 1-2 kids. It has a large bedroom downstairs with a king size bed and a master bathroom/shower, with another bedroom upstairs with a king size bed that is perfect for a couple of kids (there is also a second beautifully-tiled bathroom and shower upstairs). The host, Paola, is very nice and was super helpful. She was attentive but not at all obtrusive. We were able to communicate with her very easily throughout our trip via WhatsApp any time we had any questions. She sent us some great food and activity recommendations, including a reasonably-priced day trip to see the famous 6th century mosaics in Ravenna (which were amazing!). She even offered to order a cab to take us to the airport at the end of our visit and she followed through on this at the proper time without any reminder from us. My wife and I both highly recommend this host and apartment!

The only limitation of the apartment that we noticed was due to the fact that Bologna was having a heat wave while we were there. The apartment was a little on the warm side at times, although opening all the windows did get a nice cross breeze that made it comfortable even with the heat wave. There is an air conditioner that helps with the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs is partially underground which keeps it cooler. We found that if we ran the fans at night in both bedrooms the temperature was fine.

Wonderful accomodations in a recently refurbished apartment with many upgraded conveniences. Great location. Both bedrooms provided a quiet and peaceful environment. Wonderful host that paid attention to our smallest needs. Can't say enough about this place!

It was in an ideal location - easy access but in a quiet area Bright light and clean Paula was incredibly welcoming and made herself available but very unobtrusively

Door locks are exceptionally secure but slightly fiddly to open

Bologna Boutique Home was the perfect base for our few days in the city. It is in a brilliant location so it’s easy to get everywhere you need to go. The property itself was lovely (even nicer than the pictures), very spacious and such nice interiors. We had everything we needed and more. The hosts were so friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend!!
