Amazing location, with the bridge visible from our bedroom window, nouveau host I've ever had the chance to encounter, really gave us the Italian mama feeling upon check-in. Room was super clean and spacious, and right in the center of the beautiful medieval city.

It was a lovely location in the old town. Beautiful decorated room. Good sized room and bathroom. We found parking in the parking lot past the bridge.

Lots of stairs to climb to room. But it was expected.

The host was most welcoming and the room was cosy, beautiful and super well located. I loved my stay there!

Cosy vaulted bedroom in an amazing early 17th century building, well decorated, good modern bathroom, very good bed, view over river and towards the arched bridge, simple kitchen with microwave and Nespresso machine and classic Italian espresso maker. The owner takes special care and loves this piece of history in her village. Good free parking lot about 100 m away across the river, arched bridge + steep narrow staircase to access (it's a 17th C building after all), but well worth the experience of visiting the warren of tiny covered passages leading up to the castle.

There were lots of yummy snacks provided. Unfortunately most of them didn't survive until breakfast.

My hostess used to own a bar across the river from the apartment. She asked to meet me there to hand over the keys, since I told her my phone didn't work in Italy. She gave the name of the bar from the time when it was hers. Unfortunately the new owners changed the name and signage a few years back. I walked up and down with my bags for over an hour. Several people pointed me in the direction of 'Bar California', but I never managed to find it. At last I went into yet another establishment to ask directions, and behind the bar were some old photos and memorabilia from 'Bar California'. When I was finally able to make them understand that my French phone didn't work, they called my hostess, who arrived in due course. I understand that in the minds of most locals this was still the bar that had been there for decades, but it would be much more helpful to visitors to call it by the current name, which is on the sign out front. There was something wrong with the WiFi key I was given. I finally managed to connect it via ethernet cable, by climbing up with my laptop on a very wobbly chair, to the top shelf in the kitchen where the router was located.
